The centres will be built in the 24 constituencies in the state.
The Jigawa State Government on Tuesday said it earmarked N1.8 billion for the construction of skill acquisition centres in the 24 constituencies in the state.
The Commissioner for Information, Youth and Sports, Babandi Ibrahim, made this known to newsmen in Dutse.
Mr. Ibrahim said the centres, when completed, would help to create jobs and tackle unemployment in the state.
He said that the projects would be executed in collaboration with local government councils.
The commissioner said the state government had directed the ministries of Rural and Infrastructural Development and that of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, to facilitate the commencement of the projects.
He said the state government earmarked another N280 million for the purchase of training equipment for the centres.
