The JTF said they made the arrest in Farawa Area of Kano State.
The Military Joint Task Force, JTF, in Kano on Wednesday said it arrested seven gunmen and rescued four women.
The JTF spokesman, Ikediechi Iweha, said the gunmen were arrested in Farawa Area of the state.
He said the women were rescued in Sheka area, in the outskirt of Kano metropolis.
Mr. Iweha said that the operation that was carried out early on Wednesday morning followed a tip-off from members of the public.
He said that the operation recorded no casualty as there was no resistance from the gunmen.
He listed some of the items recovered from the gunmen to include one AK47 rifle, 46 improvised explosive devices, two laptops, phones and their accessories.
Some suspected insurgents were recently apprehended by residents during an attempted attack on Ado Bayero’s palace a fortnight ago in Kano.
