Kaduna legislators endorse Nuhu Bajoga as Kaduna State’s deputy Governor.
The Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday approved the nomination of Nuhu Bajoga as the state’s Deputy Governor.
Mr. Bajoga’s nomination was approved at the plenary of the House chaired by the Deputy Speaker, Matoh Dogara, in Kaduna.
Mr. Dogara attributed the approval of the new deputy governor to his experience in politics both at the state and federal levels.
The lawmaker also said that Mr. Bajoga merited the position of the deputy governor, being a former ambassador.
The motion, which was moved by Balarabe Jigo, and seconded by Nasiru Maikano, said the House should take an urgent step in approving the nomination.
”I strong(ly) associate myself and the House should consider the nomination”, Mr. Jigo said.
The plenary was suspended for 10 minutes.
On resumption, Mr. Dogara said, “The House has agreed and approved the appointment of Nuhu Bajoga as the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State.”
Nuhu Bajoga was born in Kwai, Jaba Local Goverment Area of Kaduna State, on July 4, 1949.
