Jonathan’s visit will boost commerce in Jigawa, says Lamido


President Goodluck Jonathan is billed to visit Jigawa State on November 5 and 6, the governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, said on Thursday in Dutse.

The President is is expected to lay the foundation stone of the proposed Jigawa University of Agriculture and Dutse International Airport.

Mr. Jonathan is also scheduled to inaugurate other development projects executed by the Lamido-led administration.

Mr. Lamido told newsmen, shortly after inspecting some of the projects in Dutse, that the visit will enable the people of the state to meet with the president, adding that the visit would attract positive developments to the state.

“For those few days there will be a lot of commerce in Dutse, visitors coming, people selling food; people selling ice water because of the excitement and the situation. There is going to be a lot of activity,” the governor said.

The governor said that the people of the state are eager to receive the president to share the brotherly spirit for the overall development of the country.
