Two classrooms billed for commissioning on Thursday by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has been razed by unknown persons.
The classrooms were built in Government Girls Secondary School, Sarkin Noma, Lokoja and are part of constituency projects Mr Melaye plans to commission in his constituency in coming days.
In the pictures seen by PREMIUM TIMES, the classrooms were left with dark patches, cracked floor and disintegrated roof.
Mr Melaye could not be reached for comments Wednesday afternoon as his known lines were switched off. Phone number of his aide, Gideon Ayodele, was also switched off.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ali Janga, told PREMIUM TIMES he is aware of the incident but no arrest has been made.
“This thing was done overnight. This thing was done in the middle of the night, nobody is aware,” he said.
He declined to give further details on the incident.
