The police in Abuja have arrested two notorious solar panel thieves that have been operating in the metropolis.
Solomon Kwaghmgulu and Mohammed Haruna were arrested on Thursday morning along AYA Bridge, Abacha road, Abuja.
The Abuja police spokesperson, Usen Omorodion, in a statement said the anti-car theft squad received a tip from a member of the public that the suspects were leaving the scene of operation with the solar panels.
“Officers moved swiftly to the scene and found the suspects with the stolen solar items. They have made confessional statements to the crime and assisting the police in the investigations.
“The FCT police command is determined to checkmate unwholesome activities of vandals and other crimes,” he added.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, commended members of the public for partnering with the police in giving timely information that led to the arrest of the culprits.
