Over 7,000 security operatives have been deployed to all polling units across Taraba state.
The police spokesperson in the state, Joseph Kwage, disclosed this to PREMIUM TIMES in Jalingo .
Mr. Kwage said they are ready to protect lives and properties at every polling unit in the state. He said all sensitive materials have got to their destinations.
He assured the people
that the police would do everything possible to ensure that the elections are violence-free.
“As I speak to you now, we have not recieved any reported incident of wrongdoing,” he said.
The INEC spokesperson, Fibian Vwanhi, confirmed that all the materials have reached their destinations.
