The Adamawa Police Command has confirmed the arrest of two suspects over a clash at the Mubi International Cattle Market which led to the death of two people.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, Othman Abubakar, told journalists on Friday in Yola that the suspects had been taken to the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID, where the case was being handled.
He did not give detail of the arrest.
The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that the clash resulted from an argument between a cattle buyer and a seller on Wednesday over balance of money.
“One of them, the cattle owner, brought out a dagger and stabbed the other, who bled to dead.
“The development led to a mob attack on the killer, who later died in the hospital,” a cattle dealer, who identified himself simply as Bappa, said.
