A truck loaded with cement lost control at a checkpoint along Bauchi -Jos Road on Monday and crushed one soldier to death.
While confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Police Command, Haruna Mohammed, said on Tuesday that the truck belonged to Dangote.
He said the heavy duty vehicle was coming from Obajana in Kogi State and heading to Damaturu Yobe State when it lost control and hit an Army Private, Samuel Bulus, attached to 33 artillery brigade who was on duty at the checkpoint.
The victim sustained various degrees injuries and was rushed to the Toro General Hospital, Bauchi, where he was certified dead.
His corpse was later moved to the 33 artillery brigade Bauchi.
He said the truck driver and two other occupants escaped unhurt and the case was under investigation.
