Former governor of Adamawa State, Murtala Nyako, has returned to the state after about one year in self-imposed exile following his impeachment.
Mr. Nyako visited victims of Thursday’s bomb blast at Jimeta market in Yola, the capital.
Mr. Nyako, who arrived Yola in a chartered flight, drove in a long convoy to theSpecialist Hospital where some survivors of the blast were receiving treatment.
Mr. Nyako also visited the Federal Medical Center. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those hospitalised.
The former governor was accompanied to the hospital by some past officials of his administration.
A large crowd of Adamawa residents trooped to the streets to welcome Mr. Nyako.
