The Independent National Electoral Commission has deployed two national commissioners and three resident electoral commissioners to over Saturday’s rerun governorship polls in Taraba State.

Briefing journalists Friday in Jalingo, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Ahmed Makama, said the commission was set for the election in all affected local government areas.

“Election will take place in 218 voting points. We are ready, all our staff are set for the election,” he said.

“Two National Commissioners and the Resident Electoral Commissioners from Adamawa, Gombe and Bauchi are already to join me to oversee the election.”

Mr. Makama called on residents to go out and vote, but to do so according to the law.

He added “we have received both sensitive and non-sensitive materials and we have sent them to the affected local government areas”.
