Boy, 14, stabs woman to death

The Bauchi State police command has arrested a 14-year-old boy, Ismael Idris, for stabbing another teenager to death.

Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, said Idris, a resident of Kofar Gombe ward in Bauchi metropolis, used a scissor to stab his victim, 18-year-old girl, Ramatu Aminu, in the neck at a bakery over a minor argument.

Ramatu later died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where she was rushed for treatment.

“Suspect used scissors and stabbed one Ramatu Aminu, female, and 18 years of Shekal ward on her neck over minor argument at a bakery. She was rushed to ATBU Teaching Hospital for medical attention but later died while receiving treatment,” the police spokesman stated.

The police PRO, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said the police were investigating the case.
