The governorship candidate of the People Democratic Movement in Adamawa State, Ahmed Modibbo, has debunked rumours that he has stepped down for the gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress, Jibrila Bindow, in the April 11 governorship poll.
“I am the best candidate vying for the Yola Government House and the most qualified person to steer the affair of the state,” he said.
Speaking through his campaign organisation, Mr. Modibbo said he was fully in the race to salvage the state from bad government. He said he had no intention to step down for anybody.
The Director General of Moddibo Campaign Organisation, Joshua Wungari, at a press conference in Yola on Thursday said his principal was fully in the race
for the governor’s seat.
Mr. Wungari called on the electorates to come out en-masse and vote for Mr. Modibbo and others PDM candidates at April 11 polls.
Meanwhile, during the presidential election, PDM threw its weight behind the APC candidate and President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.
