The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in Adamawa State, Nuhu Ribadu, has presented a former Chairman of Ganye Local Government, Habila Istifanus, as his running mate in the February 2015 governorship election in the state.

Mr. Ribadu said the choice of Mr. Istifanus followed wide consultations across the state.

The former EFCC chairman described Mr. Istifanus as a man for all seasons who has the competency to assist him in bringing about fast development to the state.

“I am here to present the winning team to you. We are here to bring before you what we have been doing in the past couple of months. We hereby present to you this man of God,” he said.

Mr. Ribadu, who was accompanied by two out of the three Senatorial candidates of the party, as well as party executives, said the PDP team consists of people of proven integrity and track record who can change the fortune of the state.

“We promised to present to you a competent running mate that will bring rapid transformation of the state,” Mr. Ribadu said. “In the process of doing that, we moved round the state and we finally arrived at what we believed was the best team for Adamawa state,” he said.

Mr. Ribadu said Mr. Istifanus has intimidating credentials and diligent record of service, adding that he is a man of letters, a community organizer and manager of people.

Mr. Istifanus hails from Ganye Local Government and is married with four children.

He is an alumnus of University of Base, School of Politics and International Studies, United Kingdom, where he obtained a Masters of Advanced Studies and MA International Studies, respectively.

Daft Propaganda Times “reporters” at it again! They report: “He is an alumnus of University of Base, School of Politics and International Studies, United Kingdom, where he obtained a Masters of Advanced Studies and MA International Studies, respectively.”

A little search would have shown that there is nothing like “University of Base” in the UK or anywhere. The man attended University of Basel, a great university in Switzerland. The check would have shown he also went to School of Politics and International Studies, Leeds University (another great university) in United Kingdom. Journalism is different from propaganda.

When 5 policemen were shot dead in USA last week, President Obama addressed Americans from his overseas trip and immediately cut short the trip. He went back to his c7ountry and attended the memorial service for the dead officers. That’s is leadership and that’s what inspires citizens of such countries to always put their nation’s first. Now compare it with Buhari’s reaction to fulani heardsmen killings, Boko Haram attacks, religious killings in the North etc. You begin to wonder the type of rulers we are punished with in this country. Very disgraceful.

If Buhari was to react like Obama did in Nigeria he will do nothing else but attend memorial services. 6 officers killed is an anomaly in the US so the president can afford to attend. In the Nigerian examples (for some reason you chose only issues in the north) the president has chosen to work on solutions rather than public displays. His problem is communication and not lack pg empathy

Henry why not state what he’s doing to stop fulani heardsmen killings? The same President who didn’t deem it appropriate to visit Agatu people or Nimbo in Enugu where innocent men, women and children were slaughtered appeared in Zamfara state in full military camouflage last week to launch the military offensive against cattle rustling. Can’t you see the hypocrisy in his action? You may be a blind follower but please learn to be objective sometimes.
