The acting chairman of the Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rufai Jingi, has expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious in all elections during the 2015 general polls.

Mr. Jingi based his confidence on the support the party’s governorship candidate. Nuhu Ribadu, is receiving in the state.

Mr. Jingi said on Sunday, “Mallam Nuhu Ribadu’s candidature is the best thing to happen to the state as it has gained acceptability from a wide spectrum of party faithful in the state.

“Ribadu is a unifying factor in the party and with him as the as the flag bearer of the party, the victory of the party is a matter of time.”

He said thanks to Mr. Ribadu’s support base, the party would not only win the governorship polls but “from councillor to the presidential election” as well.

He said Mr. Ribadu had all it took to rescue the state from its present state of underdevelopment and make it one of the most developed states in Nigeria.

“Ribadu will bring his wealth of experience and wide network of national and international connection to put the state on a fast lane of development,” he said

Mr. Jingi said the party would soon embark on a campaign tour to all the 21 local government areas of the state to showcase Malam Nuhu Ribadu as it is gubernatorial candidate for 2015 general election.

He said the campaign tour would start before the year runs out.

“Adamawa is a PDP state and there is no way the party will lose in free and fair polls especially in consideration of the pedigree of our candidate,” he said.
