Pray and fast to end terrorism in Nigeria, Pastor Adeboye says to Christians.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, said the denomination lost 46 of her churches across Nigeria, particularly in the Northern part of the country, during the post presidential election crisis.
The cleric said this in Jos on Wednesday while declaring open the newly built Maranatha Covenant Church located in Jos. The event also witnessed consecration of the founder, Maranatha Church, Jonas Katung.
Expressing displeasure at the ongoing attacks on Christian worship centers by suspected members of the Boko Haram, the clergy said Christians in the Northern part of Nigeria, especially clerics, are under siege.
He urged Christians in Nigeria to be watchful, and to pray for a permanent solution to the insurgence.
Quoting from the bible, Mr. Adeboye charged Christians to depend on God, saying “if God be for you, (Christians) who can be against us”.
He called on Christians the world over to seek the Kingdom of God first, and every other thing would be added onto them.
