Efficient governance will reduce violence in Plateau, workshop resolves

A two-day workshop for Economic and Peace Development for Plateau State ended on Saturday in Jos, the Plateau capital.

One of the resolutions of the workshop is that “The economic growth of a community is predicated on the peaceful co-existence of its citizen.”

The workshop, which drew participants from the media, community leaders, and stakeholders from the economic sector, held at the Jos Business School. It challenged governments at all levels to adopt policies that can be developmental to the people.

One of the resolutions contained in the communiqué of the workshop is that “Government should keep working on non-existent or poor infrastructure such as power, road/water to reduce cost on the business people which will increase profitability, which will increase expansion, increasing employment and increase peace.”
