Jonah Jang says APC is a party of strange bed fellows and will not stand the test of time.
With the news of four opposition parties merging, members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have continued to throw in criticisms, with the latest coming from Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang.
Governor Jang, in a statement by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, James Manock, said that the newly formed All Progressives Congress, APC, may not stand the test of time as the people involved are strange bed fellows.
“All Progressives Congress, APC, is made up of strange bed fellows who never slept together with most of them having their roots in the PDP,” Mr. Jang was quoted as saying in Abuja on Wednesday, shortly after he was re-admitted into PDP as a permanent member of the Board of Trustees, BOT.
The Plateau Governor also dismissed speculations that he was planning to quit the PDP by pledging his allegiance, till the time he quits politics, to the party, and to work for the success of the party in all future elections.
He said PDP is the only political party that will take Nigeria to glory.
“He (Mr. Jang) stressed that the PDP would take the country to a true, reliable and virile democracy, where service delivery would be its fulcrum,” the spokesperson said.
