Governor Suntai was involved in a plane crash in Adamawa.
The Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai, is responding positively to treatment and would soon return to office, his counterpart in Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has said.
Mr. Jang said this in a statement signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs, James Mannock, on Thursday.
The Plateau Governor said he visited his Taraba colleague at the German hospital, during his three-week official trip, where the latter is currently receiving treatment.
He said that Mr. Suntai’s health condition has improved and that he is in a stable state with good sense of memory. He expressed optimism that Mr. Suntai will soon return to his duty post in Taraba State.
Mr. Suntai was involved in a plane crash in Adamawa State last year and has been receiving treatment in Germany since then.
Mr. Jang’s recent trip was criticised by opponents who accused him of embarking on more than six foreign trips in 2012.
