The University will reopen on November 12
The Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Daniel Uza, says the university will reopen on November 12.
Mr. Uza said in an interview on Wednesday in Makurdi, that the resumption date was approved by the Senate of the institution.
He said the senate took the decision after a careful study of the recommendations of its committee on the students’ unrest.
Mr. Uza said the students would write their second semester examination, two days after resumption.
The university was shut on September 18, following students’ unrest over erratic power supply and shortage of water.
The vice chancellor advised students to shun all acts capable of preventing them from running a successful academic programme in the university.
He also urged them to remain focused on their studies for their overall wellbeing, noting that they were the leaders of tomorrow.
