The JTF says it raided a terrorist arm store and recovered some arms.



The Joint Task Force, JTF, security outfit in Yobe recovered assorted arms from a cache in Damaturu on Monday.

According to a statement issued by the JTF spokesman, Eli Lazarus, “the JTF, acting on a tip-off, raided a suspected terrorist arms store at Pompomari area of Damaturu on Sunday”.

The statement explained that, five Mark IV rifles, a `Fabrique Nationale’, a pump-action rifle, one riot gun shoot range, four riot guns, one tear gas canister as well as bow and arrows were recovered during the raid.

The JTF said they did not fire a single round to recover the arms.
