Niger governor, Aliyu, directs commissioners to prepare handover notes

The Governor of Niger State, Mu’azu Aliyu, has directed commissioners to prepare comprehensive handover notes for the next administration.

He gave the directive Wednesday in Minna while inaugurating a 27-person transition committee to oversee the handing over of
power to the next administration next month.

Mr. Aliyu urged commissioners and other key government officials in the state to ensure they prepare proper records, adding that the incoming government will work on available records provided.

“Allegations from those who do not understand the workings of government are already flying around that I need to account for certain government actions. It is therefore imperative for us to present comprehensive records of government activities in various ministries.”

“Everything we did since the past eight years were done in council. No commissioner executed projects without the approval of council. We executed projects we initiated and completed those left by our predecessor.”

“Government is all about continuity. The documents we will present to the next administration will go a long way in helping them to start work. It is therefore instructive that we must be detailed, clear and concise about programs, policies of our ministries.”

Governor Aliyu said vying for political positions is not for the purpose of making money but a call to serve God and humanity. He, therefore, maintained the administration he led has worked within the confines of what they had to get the much they achieved so far.

You may not be a christian but you are sending a christian message. Thank you.

Sorry, you can’t insist atheists don’t exist by playing word games. I find a lot of believers deny reality, and this is just one more example.

It doesn’t seem you read with much understanding. Who on earth there is that does not believe in something? Does the so-called atheist not believe in himself, at least? Simply put, almost all atheists are gods to themselves. Got it? So, Pst Aribisala seems to have written from a level of understanding that most church goers with absolute lack of knowledge of the Bible can not comprehend.

You’re just equivocating — I believe lots of things, but gods aren’t among them, and “atheist” simply indicates someone who is not a theist. Such people really exist, you can’t “define” them away with word games.
