The Executive Chairman of Barkinladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Emmanuel Lomang, has said unknown gunmen on Tuesday night killed four persons in his council area.
Mr. Lonang made the disclosure on Wednesday at his residence in Jos, while speaking with journalists on renewed night attacks on his subjects.
According to the council chairman, the four persons murdered Tuesday night include “two mothers and two children from two different families”.
They were killed at Rahwol Kassa of Barakinladi Local Government Area.
Also, Police has confirmed the incident with the spokesperson for the security agency, Abuh Emmanuel, saying the Police has commenced investigation into all attacks in the area.
Mr. Abuh warned those responsible for the killing of innocent persons in the state would be dealt with ruthlessly when apprehended. He assured that such culprits will face the wrath of the law in accordance.
Mr. Abuh advised residents to promptly report suspected persons roaming at odd hours.
Seven persons from the same family were attacked and killed in their residence last Sunday in Barkinladi town, headquarters of the council area.
The victims of the Sunday night attack include a husband and wife, with five children.
In the last two months, none of the perpetrators of the attacks and assassination of persons in the state have been prosecuted.
