The Nasarawa State commissioner for information, Hamza Elayo, has denied plans to resign his appointment from the Governor Tanko Almakura-led administration.
Mr. Elayo, who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES from Dubai, UAE, said the report was a figment of the imagination of the Nasarawa State correspondent of the Guardian Newspaper.
The paper had reported that he was planning to resign.
Mr. Hamza said he has absolute confidence in the leadership style of the APC-led government in the state and would continue to discharge his duties to the best of his knowledge to assist the government render selfless service to the people of the state.
“Let me state categorically that I have not made such consideration nor dreamt of such move as I have absolute confidence, respect and loyalty to the administration of Governor Umaru Tanko Al – Makura. There is no gainsaying the fact that I have gained so much from the style, character and achievements of the government and will continue to be proudly associated with its ideals and successes. Let me, once again, denounce this report in its entirety as it concerns me and pledge my loyalty, support and commitment to the ideals, vision and development aspiration of Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura,” he said.
Mr. Elayo urged the media to always cross-check their facts before going to press.
