The armed robbers were arrested at the clinic.

The Nasarawa state police command on Saturday confirmed the arrest of four suspected armed robbers that killed Lawal Ahmed, the principal of Federal Science Technical College, FSTC, Doma, on Thursday evening along Doma -Lafia road.

Confirming the incident, the State Police spokesperson, Ismaila Numan, said the suspects were arrested by the special anti-robbery squad.

The late principal was ambushed and killed by armed robbers in his white C Class Mercedes Benz on his way back to his school late Thursday after attending to the parents of an SSS 2 student, Jibrin Isah, a house captain who was allegedly stabbed by his colleague, Usman Shamsudeen.

Mr. Numan said two of the arrested suspects are doctors who were treating the armed robbers of bullet wounds.

“They are not supposed to treat such cases without the police but for now investigation is ongoing and they have been transferred to the state CID from Doma,” Mr. Numan said.

The armed robbers were arrested at the same clinic where the late principal was taken after he was killed.

The suspects were said to have visited the clinic to treat one of them who was shot during a scuffle over the sharing formula of the money they stole during the operation.

One of the doctors in the hospital was said to have reported them to the police when they could not offer satisfactory explanation regarding how they sustained bullet wounds.
