PDP threatens members working for Oshiomhole in Edo state

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened to deal with its members working for the re election of Governor Adams Oshiomhole ahead of the gubernatorial election in Edo state.
The party issued the warning after the first meeting of its newly elected National Working Committee(NWC) at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
“The National Working Committee (NWC) has directed the Edo State chapter of the PDP to urgently take necessary disciplinary actions against any party member engaging in anti-party activities in relation to the 2012 Governorship election in the Edo State,” party spokesperson, Olisa Metuh, said
The party further warned that the new NWC would not condone any form of indiscipline from party members.
The NWC also directed the South West Zonal Executive Committee to immediately take over the running of the affairs of the party in Ogun State, pending further decisions by it.
In the same vein, the statement said the NWC had resolved that the Makonjuola Ogundipe-led Ekiti State Executive Committee of the PDP is the authentic leadership of the Party in the State.
It therefore directed “other leaders, elders and members of the Party in Ekiti State to comply with this directive”.

The NWC warned that it not condone the formation of parallel executive. It also urged the State Executive Committee to work harmoniously with all Party members to ensure reconciliation and unity.
