Supreme Court upholds Kwankwanso, Babangida's elections

Rabiu Kwankwaso , Governor of kano state

The court dismissed a petition by Sagir Takai, the governorship candidate of the all Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), on the ruling of the Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna which also ruled in favour of Mr. Kwankwaso.

The Supreme Court also dismissed the petition filed by the candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Ibrahim Bako Shettima, challenging the election of Muazu Babangida Aliyu as governor of Niger State.
