The remains of influential judge and retired justice of the Supreme Court, Bolarinwa Babalakin, was laid to rest Saturday evening at his country home in Gbongan, Osun State.
Mr Babalakin died on Saturday morning. He was aged 94.
Islamic prayer for the deceased commenced by 4:25 p.m. and was led by the chief imam of Osogboland, Isola Olawale, the Mufusir of Osogboland.

Among those in attendance included Yusuf Ali, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria; Siyan Oyeweso, a professor of History; Rasak Oladejo, President of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), MT Yahya, Executive Secretary of MUSWEN.

The late justice was chairman of the board.
A devout Muslim, the late Justice Babalakin was an active member of the Muslim Association of Nigeria, Ansarudeen Society.

He is survived by many children and grand children including Wale Babalakin (SAN), Chairman, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Ltd, and Architect Tayo Babalakin among others.
