The 2018 World Cup supposedly came too early for Gernot Rohr’s Super Eagles and against Seychelles on Saturday in Victoria, they started a path of redemption to qualify for their first Nations Cup after missing out in the last two editions.
Rohr gave a debut to Samuel Kalu from the start while he brought on Semi Ajayi for Chidozie Awaziem as he continues to try different options for the problematic right back spot. The Eagles had more than 70 per cent of possession and forced the Islanders unto the back foot throughout the encounter.
