Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo says there is no better man for the Presidency than President Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr. Okorocha said this while addressing leaders of the “Democratic Youths Congress for Buhari 2019,” who were on a courtesy visit to him at the Government House, Owerri on Tuesday.

He urged every Nigerian to support President Buhari for second term, adding that all but two governors in the country, regardless of party affiliation, were in support of a second term for the President.

“President Buhari is the best for the country at the moment and that there could not have been a better option now.

‘’I am a believer of Buhari and I made it clear years ago that if President Buhari is running for president, I will not run.

“Now God has chosen him to be the president of Nigeria and some of us are witnesses that Buhari was and is still the best for Nigeria at this material time,” he said.

Mr. Okorocha also said that Nigeria’s quick exit from economic recession was a testament to Buhari’s tenacity, adding that he had shelved his ambition in preference to support Buhari.

While appealing to others to extend the same level of support, he noted Buhari’s second term would bring about enhanced unity and peace of Nigeria.

“Supporting Buhari for a second tenure will bring about the new Nigeria we are talking about. This will put Nigeria first and the unity we are looking for will be guaranteed under this administration.

“Our nation is going through a challenging moment and we will require a man of his calibre to see us through this period.

“People should not use the Anambra election result to judge the support for Buhari as it does not reflect the support.

“Even the government and people of Anambra support President Buhari, what happened was that an internal disagreement among the leaders in APC in Anambra cost us the election.”

Earlier, the National Chairman of the group, Kassim Kassim, said the group came to appeal to Mr. Okorocha to shelve his ambition of running for the office of the president of the country.

He noted that although Mr. Okorocha was well qualified to run, his support was needed to enable Mr. Buhari complete his “good works for the nation.”

“With your track records, we would have gladly chosen you to run for 2019, but we have all endorsed Buhari and accepted that you lead us all the way in the support.

“We are begging and pleading that you lead all the governors of APC to support Buhari for what he has done and what he stands for in Nigeria.

“With you on our side, victory is assured,” Mr. Kassim said.

adding that all but two governors in the country, regardless of party affiliation, were in support of a second term for the President.

Okoro, the Buhari bum licker! Chineke! Is this the level to which some desperate Igbos are ready to sink? Anyway, I doubt if Buhari will trust the bum-licker enough to allow him near his bum. Chineke! all the self-humiliation for what?

Nigeria is a democracy, the last thing Nigerians want is a one-party state with King Buhari as its leader.

    • Otile

Bigot, you know very well that Rochas is not an Igbo man, he was imposed on Igbo people so that Fulanis can get strong foothold in Igbo heartland.

Kai kai kai this is painfully sad, which way Nigeria ? Which way

  • Dazmillion

    Okoroawusa is sick

  • atakamosu

    Hmmmm, where is the beef?

  • Don Gratias

For Gods sake what is this man saying?

  • Mizch

Recent pictures of this president Buhari shows him laughing wild, all the mouth open. Those who visited him in London told us that he was LAUGHING. Psychologists, help!

    • mamaT

      Trash

    • abodes_124

This is Jibrin from Sudan. the closest lookalike they could find. As to the real buhari’s whereabouts my lips are sealed.

  • Otunga

Consistent celebration of mediocrity is one out of our numerous problems. Security is now a major issue, guys are kidnapped and killed on the road daily, corruption has taken a different dimension with NASS and presidency as the main Nigerian contractors, hunger everywhere while this government is swimming in money from taxes and all kinds of sources including so called stolen funds..but hey this dude is the best in fact we are lucky to have him as our president..we truly are backward out here..I tire

    • abodes_124

This will end up as the government that garnered the most revenue and did the least with it. Every bank transaction you do the government taxes you for it. just calculate the millions they make from this each day.

    • front man

Stop all this hatred for this present administration

      • abodes_124

I am sure you did not love Jonathan and his administration. if you did or do say so . Onmy part, I do not hate buhari. I just hate what he is doing to me and fellow Nigerians

  • kenmege

Rochas is not serious. If he is, he should build 3 statues, one for Buhari, one for Aisha and another for Buharis daughter Zara . Then we can believe him. Olodo.

    • ACTION MAN in ACTION

…and two more statues for Mugabe and Grace. Mallam Herdsman Okoro don’t kolo.

    • abodes_124

I have applied for one to be built for me. there is plenty of space. he has knocked down most of Owerri to build statues. you should apply as well. [psst you also get a little stipend in a Swiss bank account when your statue goes up – at least he did that for Zuma]

      • kenmege

i never imagined in my wildest dream that a man hailed as the messiah when he came into power can so diminish and destroy his legacy in imo state, that even to his 6th generation, the shame of his recent craze of building statues while imo civil servants are hungry, can never be erased from his lineage. doomed family.

        • abodes_124

seriously my brother, the only thing people who knew of him before now are saying is that he has gone mad

    • front man

      Hypocrite

    • White cane

      Go and seat down somewhere

  • ACTION MAN in ACTION

This man must be either a deceiver or a traitor or just speaking in parables. These 36 governors have rejected buhari for sure. Okoro is pushing him forwards for public disgrace. PMB himself knows Nigerian are not ready to continue to tolerate his incompetence and weaknesses that have bastardised and ruin our economy while encouraging his political gangdogs to continue in reckless and brazen impunity and looting. This mallam okoro herdsman should stop insulting nigerians intelligence and provoking our patience of managing this baba go-slow to go back to his cattle ranch in 2019. If possible he should even go before then.

    • mamaT

If u stil don’t get it 2019 election will clear ur doubts, there is none i repeat none better than PMB, he is very capable! Keep ur hatred to ursef and look bush instead.

    • front man

There is nothing like parable, it is the plain truth

    • White cane

are you a governor, why do you venture into what you dont know

  • Really

Even till date some people in Germany still celebrate Adolf Hitlers birthday.

    Indeed Devil never lacks supporters.

    • mayGodpunishopressors

unfortunately, evil men and women always have their way and sometimes there are in majority. If buhari wins 2019 election, Nigeria may go to war either as a result of religious or ethnic violence. PMB is a bad product and poisonous to accept.

      • mamaT

We don’t care weather u lik it or not or better said if u agree wit me or not he is not a bad product but a valuable one that had the country interest at heart…..his ofcourse needs to win in 2019 and am very sure Nigeria success is certain.

        • front man

          Ignore him

      • front man

Useless comment can you face a common fight not to talk of war

      • White cane

        Nonsense comment

    • front man

      Na you sabi

  • woman leader1

President Muhammad Buhari all the way

    • White cane

yes ooo 2019 here we come

  • Rommel

PDP which is the main opposition party does not even have a chairman not to talk of presidential candidate, we heard they are going about pleading for Atiku to rejoin them in exchange for PDP ticket, how can any sane person doubt the outcome of 2019 elections? PMB will win 2019 very very easily but we are not going to rest until it is achieved.People can laugh at Rochas all they care, I may not like his postures and shenenigans but on this score of BUHARI 2019, his permutations are spot on.As for Rochas contesting afterwards, I don’t have any problems with his ambition because, it is Nigerians that will decide who succeeds Buhari

    • abodes_124

Who says we are laughing at Okorocaha. He is the face of the APC in the South East. Even as we speak he is about to unveil Buharis statue in the space where he has knocked down the most recent row of houses. Sai Okorocha – our next VP. Sai Buhari our President for Life -We expect him to outdo Mugabe

    • front man

      Well spoken

    • White cane

You are very much on point

      • emmanuel

why answer yourself with another moniker?
You should be ashamed of yourself by now, as all who used to support Buhari in most online news forum have deserted you, so you appear with over thirty monikers for make believe Buhari’s popularity which has waned.
You can increase your monikers to one hundred or more, Buhari does not appeal to anyone again.

  • THEARGUMENTATOR

Yes o… Nigerian exit from the recession is a good example that PMB is the best to be Nigerian president. God bless Nigeria

    • mamaT

HE is simply the best no doubts about dat

      • front man

        Yes oooo

    • abodes_124

So the narrative is that buhari had nothing to do with the Nigerian economy’s progressive slide into recession but within 3 months of his return from sick leave he has engineered a miraculous economic recovery. I presume economic recovery is bot a.’ word’ [courtesy Kemi] and data from the NBS [that recorded an average 6% growth under GEJ] is no longer voodoo statistics. Common MOIC/Onochie boys ramp it up.

    • front man

Is a Big relief and clear proof for mr president to still lead us right

      • White cane

        yes ooo

  • mamaT

Indeed the president needs all of our support to continue the good works which he has started…I stand wit PMB! God bless us.

    • front man

      Well said

    • White cane

      Exactly

    • daygea

      Very correct.

  • front man

This is a clear proof that president muhammed buhari is still the chosen one to lead Nigeria again

    • White cane

HE’s doing wonderfully well and the whole world is seeing it , including the governors

    • abodes_124

that was what they used to tell Mugabe until a few days ago.

  • Netanyahu

This rochas, if his father had discharged his semen that produced him, okoroawusa into the toilet that night, it would have save us a lot of embarrassment. Lord have mercy.

    • White cane

What nonsense are you talking about? he’s saying his mind and you are talking trash

  • White cane

That is a wonderful move by the governors, everybody knows that the president is doing well

    • emmanuel

See how you have splashed your shameless post allover, without making any sense. Too many monikers. I begin to suspect you are Kay Soyemi, the charge and bail lawyer.
If that happens, at this rate, street gangs would be ruling their enclave and collecting taxes before 2023. God forbid.
The upsurge of criminality and illicit drug use has suddenly become part of Nigeria social life in just less than three years, as no one is in charge and morality has been thrown over board.

      • daygea

        What exactly is your point.

        • emmanuel

          1. you are paid to do a job that is too classy for you’ by your lord who is a minister and not respected by Nigerians for his incongruous manifestations of official responsibilities and his lying bewitchment.
          2. That you have too many monikers and behave like a lunatic
          3. That your identity is getting clearer as the same character i mentioned above
          4. That Nigeria would be full blown Banana Republic if Buhari dare return to power in 2019
          5. That Nigeria has failed and people attend open parties and share illicit drugs, people discuss drug usage on social media and life goes on, because there is no leader.
You may ask your master Liar to enlighten you the more if need be

        • Olatubosun

          Don’t mind him jare

      • Olatubosun

        What is your problem

    • Olatubosun

      Yes o….
      You are right guy

  • White cane

Exactly my brother you are correct

  • emmanuel

“Our nation is going through a challenging moment and we will require a man of his calibre to see us through this period.
“People should not use the Anambra election result to judge the support for Buhari as it does not reflect the support.

What challenging time is Nigeria facing if we are out of recession?
This rotound fellow beams with such mediocrity and senseless demeanour, to suspect he suffers from dementia. Who will vote for Buhari in 2019?
Okorocha should share N1 billion to every Nigerian as bribe for vote, no one will vote for him. Se how he looks in that photo, very unkempt and scruffy.

    • daygea

PMB is definitely coming back in the next election for Nigerians know the extent of the good work he has done.

      • Olatubosun

        Sure..
        Buhari for 2019

    • 4ustta

      I WILL VOTE FOR BUHARI.

  • daygea

We all need to support the president cos he is really doing a wonderful job.

    • Olatubosun

      You spoke well guy

  • abodes_124

Aisha for sure said she will not be supporting him if he goes again.

  • Olatubosun

God bless Nigeria and God bless buhari and his cabinets

  • Olatubosun

President Mohammed buhari is working towards a great development of our nation

  • newday

Okorocha must be an incorrigible sycophant to claim that Nigeria is out of recession.

  • abodes_124

Said with tongue in cheek. 🙂 Do not dismiss the fairer sex to ‘the other room’ oh. Grace very nearly took over Zimbabwe
