APC chieftain warns Atiku, urges ‘Mama Taraba’ to resign

A leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to statements by Nigeria’s Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, that she would not support any re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 but would rather support a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, who she referred to as her godfather.

The official also criticised Mr. Abubakar, who recently said that he had been sidelined in party affairs.

The APC National Vice Chairman, North-west, Inuwa Abdulkadir, in a statement said he was not surprised by the statement noting that Mrs. Alhassan had never been a supporter of the president.

Mr. Abdulkadir’s statement aligns with that of the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, who also said yesterday that Mrs. Alhassan had never supported the ‘Buhari ideology.’

Mr. Abdulkadir also warned leaders of the party, particularly, the former vice president to stop “misleading statements aimed at causing division within the party.”

The only infallible man in Nigeria presently is Buhari, the president. The sycophants will push him so much that the president would be doing the wrong thing, they would still be hailing him.

    • MilitaryPolice01

True, but the woman should resign, that is the most honorable thing to do.

      • Monnie Uwa

The former VP Abubakar should know that he has NO electoral value since after the 19 suit cases, he is gonna. Nigerian are not fools

      • 0tile

Yeah, push her out and replace her with your concubine. Why can’t many of you accept constructive criticism? Must Buhari take Nigeria to hell in a hand basket whether people of good conscience like it or not?

    • Dan arewa

      Shut up you dummy

      • Frank Bassey

You are an epicentre of hallucination. Please, address my post; counteract the facts, or present your own.

        • Absolutely Sane

Your post is a summary of your stupidity. Nothing less except it is more!

          • Frank Bassey

Does that answer the question? I challenged you to produce your version of the promotions our hypocritical President made at the Northern Nigeria Petroleum Corporation and you resorted to abuse. Produce your own list. You and your likes are perpetual nightmare to this country. NEMESIS awaits you all.

    • Eluba Inas

This is just 14 out of the 55 promoted. Can you provide the full list so we can see the rest of the distribution? This is a one sided selective list meant to create disharmony among the gullibles.

      • Anasieze Donatus

Bro ,you get time ooo.Why waste your data on that hating wailer

      • Frank Bassey

Please publish the remaining 41 and their PORTFOLIOS since you know the number promoted.

        • suleiman

Great challenge. He won’t because he is dumb

        • Arabakpura

Those are the people that celeberate low class! We are talking about the leadership of an organization that they are least qualified being handed over to a section and he is talking about the followership! Very interesting ountry!

      • Arabakpura

That’s the top echelon; you want the bottom echelon? Or have we also taken the 120/400 Jamb score to the NNPC?

    • Reward for Good is always Good

So pity of you bigot. You are worried not because, may be they are corrupt, incompetent. just because they are not from the oil producing states.Be wise and move on.

      • Frank Bassey

The skewed appointment is CORRUPTION on its own. What is corruption? How can you make such a juicy appointment for a section of the country where no drop of oil is produced? Is that fair? What is corruption? All those behind this injustice against us are on the fast lane to self-extinction. We wish them accelerated peril. They will never escape the grips of NEMESIS.

        • Arabakpura

It also generates hate speeches which they deceitfully claim to battle!

        • Reward for Good is always Good

You called the appointments ”JUICY” because oil producing states have not been appointed. My brother it is high time we move on because,if we did not stop the issue sectionalism, tribalism, regionalism and so on. We can never develop. The question is are they capable? if yes,may we(NIGERIANS) feel their impact of been there. GOD BLESS NIGERIA AND NIGERIANS.

          • Frank Bassey

It is miserable insincerity to moot the idea that the most competent hands to hold such positions in the organization are from Buhari’s Northern brothers. You know that is abysmal falsehood. When did that happen? You don’t even allow such concocted idea into your head. I have argued that Buhari is more of a tribal bigot than a pan-Nigerian. God cannot bless Nigeria and Nigerians presided over by a man who does not preach what he does not practise. Can you imagine the South dominating the Northern Nigeria Petroleum Corporation if the oil was in the North? The country will burn into ruins. I agree with you that we must stop this issue of sectionalism, tribalism and regionalism which Buhari exemplifies. That is why NEMESIS is at work and must conclude its curse.

      • Arabakpura

It does not reflect the federal character principle which is practiced selectively in a country that says it wants peace!

  • Dan Arewa

If indeed she is what she claim to be, that is a principled woman bold enough to make statements like that then she should resign from the ministerial post and concentrate on the campaign for Atiku, anything less is hypocrisy. She cannot have it both ways, beside she is least performing minister, half the time she was sick and now that she has recovered instead working for the people she is busy campaigning against a sitting president in whose government she serves, is just stoopit statement to make. Now I understand why Ango Abdullahi divorced her.

    • Reward for Good is always Good

      Hahaha..haba dan arewa.

    • 0tile

If she resigns what is left in Buhari’s cabinet is a bunch of mindless zombies. Remember that Fashola is saddled with 3 portfolios while he can’t manage any. See how Amaechi is bungling with his own portfolio, and the rest are not better. Does anybody believe Lair Mohammed? This is the worst cabinet ever, no wonder Nigeria is going backward.

    • Arabakpura

Swap the name of the woman with that of Buhari in your comment and see if it is also fitting appropriately!

  • Abdussalami Yaro

First, let me place a caveat, that I am not a politician neither do I support any political party, but my real concern for my country and fellow citizens, is what is pushing me into social media disqus. Could someone please, inform Mr. Atiku, the cerebral and pathological political pimp of our time, to shelve his delusional ambition, for now, and retire peacefully and enjoy his wealth, which only God-knows how he acquired. Let it be known to Atiku that, his recent alignment with the long protracted Southern campaign for restructuring of the country, will be in vain, as the South will never ever trust him. Atiku can continue to hurt and create tension within his political party, but at end, he will only be committing a political HARAKIRI.

    • Otile

You are speaking for yourself, VP Atiku is a very intelligent man, not known for bigotry or religious fanaticism. Atiku is the kind of man Nigeria needs now after Buhari created big ethnic and religious divisions.

      • musa aliyu

Why won’t U support him? Losers

        • Tunsj

          Well said.

          • Otile

Thank you for saying ‘well said’ to me. Don’t mind aboki aliyu he is an Arab foreign refugee, coming to rape girls in Chibok.

        • 0tile

Why should I support senseless Buhari? Parasite

  • obi

I implicitly blame Atiku. He is fighting a lost battle. All his esoteric plans for 2019 will hit te rocks. As for that mama whathever she calls herself, I see pure hypocrisy. Buhari (or the presidency) has done well by refusing to cast any comment

  • Mizch

What has changed between the time First Lady Aisha Buhari said she would not support her husband for a second tenure and now minister Aisha Alhassan expressed her opinion? How did Nigerians reach this stage of worshiping a human being?

  • musa aliyu

It shows it’s not yet Uhuru for African politics. Why warn Atiku? It’s a free world and he is entitled to his own opinion, even if it is seen as wrong. How do U think a politician bent on ruling will easily give up? As for the woman, she is also right to voice her opinion. The worst is for the administration yo boot her out, which will not augur well for them. She has nothing to lose, after all she has a godfather in Atiku. The Party is just making a storm in a tea cup. Allow us grapple with recession please.

  • Amir

Exactly the same sabotage and betrayal Atiku did to Obasanjo he is doing to Buhari. Atiku’s desire to be president at all cost is why he will never be president. A man who cannot travel to the US is bad market to lead the most populous black nation on earth.

  • Du Covenant

By God’s grace, Atiku will NEVER be President of Nigeria. This woman should be sent packing so she can freely start campaigning for her godfather. Frankly, I just don’t understand how some of our fellow black people think, she is entitled to support whoever she wants afterall but, why be so cruel and silly?.
