An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has adjourned the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, to October 17.

A court official disclosed the date to PREMIUM TIMES on Tuesday morning.

Mr. Kanu is being tried alongside three others: David Nwawuisi, Benjamin Madubugwu and Chidiebere Onwudiwe for alleged treasonable offences.

The trial was earlier scheduled to continue on Tuesday, after the court presided over by Justice Binta Nyako granted Mr Kanu bail after giving him 12 main conditions in April.

Among the conditions was a requirement for the defendant to avoid being seen in any crowd of more than 10 people.

Mr. Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, had told journalists after the court session on April 25 that his client would seek the variation of the condition relating to the number of people Mr. Kanu could be seen with in public.

It is not clear if this was done.

Mr. Kanu has already addressed several groups, mostly a community of Jewish faithful and traditional leaders on the quest for the actualisation of Biafra.

Same court disobeyed orders on three occasions previously against the victims that are exercising their rights of existence on self determination. So,what’s the big deal about the later? In fact, with the development of things on same, all charges against them should be discharged, erased permanently. & acquitted for conscience’sake. Nigeria should work on redeeming her image.

Whether Nigeria likes it or not vote in the coming Anambra elections and we will not vote in the 2019 elections. The only elections we and our households will partake of will be a Secession REFERENDUM.

Let all the so called shameless Igbo leaders and their families and friends who benefit from crumbs left over by their Northern and Western Nigerian masters go and vote. They can not speak for us the generality of the people. These are men who hid their tails between their legs while our great son, Nnamdi Kanu was incarcerated by Buhari. They pretended they were not aware. IPOB were brutally murdered and bodies taken away for mass burial by Nigerian army, and the so called useless Igbo leaders did not convene. BUT now that Kanu has been freed and the people are with him and have decided not to participate in elections anymore, the crooks now deem it fit to gather in unprecedented numbers to denounce Kanu and Biafra.

We reject the so called Igbo leaders. They are fighting for their pockets. We too must fight for our pockets and that means we will NEVER vote again. Give us a referendum. We demand Biafra. Now!

    Is Kanu still on trial?

    • Wale

Yes, the case is still in court.
He’s out on bail, and I have a feeling that he has violated most if not all his bail conditions.
Adjournment of his case at this time is nothing but a setup, and he’s really playing into their hands because of his crazy azz ego.

      • Paschal Charles

Man go and sit down if you have nothing to comment . Arrest Kanu again and see the end of this Zoo you call your country .

Do you mean the useless pastor who is romancing the hausa fulani bastards and licking tinubu’s cock?. get away, he is no man of God

  • Wale

He’s being given enough rope to hang himself.
Come October 17th 2017; the case will be adjourned again till probably Dec. 19th, this govt. wants Nnamdi Kanu up and about till after the Anambra’s gubernatorial election in November.
Disrupting electoral process is a big time felony anywhere in the world that practices democratic systems of government.

dont vote is not a criminal offence, get it into your yorobastard brain

    • Alex

Illiteracy is a crime against humanity! boycotting an election, or refusing to vote, is one of the instruments of self determination, approved by the U.N itself. It is in another word referred to as civil disobedience

    • Paschal Charles

Man don’t know know that boycotting of election is Civil disobedience ? Please wise up .
