A Lagos High Court has ordered Musiliu Obanikoro, a former junior minister of defence, to settle before the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), within seven days, a defamation suit he filed against PREMIUM TIMES and Sahara Reporters.

The judge said Mr. Obanikoro should give a progress report on the suit on April 7, the next adjourned date.

The former minister had instituted defamation charges against the two media companies for their reports implicating him in the Ekiti State governorship election rigging scandal.

A misinformation or what? Na Koro go beg abi na PT/SR? He has the option of withdrawing if he so wish, he could be made to pay cost, not begging the offenders.

      I am not saying
Alhaji Musiliu Obanikoro is a thief but I read in all newspapers that he took
what does not belong to him and is under legal instruction to return almost 400
billion Naira to the treasury. What I want to know now is this: does the law of
Nigeria say anyone who is still under legal directive to return what he took which
does not belong to him is a man of impeccable reputation? I am amused.

lolz, I’m waiting for his explanations as well. PT & SR should return the favor by suing him for wasting their time and make him pay their legal fees.
