Some slum dwellers in Lagos have stormed the office of the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, over the planned demolition of slums in the state.
The demolition was scheduled to start today.
The over 500 protesters include men, women, and young people.
Their demand is that the government suspends the planned demolition that could leave hundreds of thousands of people homeless.
