Atiku commends Buhari for withdrawal of criminal charges against Saraki, Ekweremadu

Atiku and Buhari

Former Vice President and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Atiku Abubakar commends the Federal Government, particularly President Muhammadu Buhari for the withdrawal of criminal charges against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, thus paving the way for the resolution of the impasse between both arms of government.

The former Vice President describes it as “a wise and timely move”.

In a press statement released by his Media Office in Abuja on Friday, October 7, the former Vice President says that the move by the Federal Government is an indication that the government values the much-needed cordial relationship between the Executive and Legislature and would take steps to ensure that it remains harmonious in the interest of the nation, and the advancement of our democracy.

The Turakin Adamawa says that it is only in the situation of harmonious, cordial and corporative relationship between the three arms of government that real progress and development can take place in the polity.

Arguing that all hands needs to be mobilized to tackle the current economic difficulties in the country, and get the nation out of economic recession, the former Vice President states that both the Executive and Legislature need to come together to find solutions to the current economic recession by eliminating all issues that promote strife and mistrust.

Adding that political crisis does little or no good in a democracy, the former Vice President advises all individuals and political forces in the country that still have issues to come together and resolve their differences for the good of the nation and the APC.

Describing President Muhammadu Buhari as a statesman and a Man of Peace, he says that the decision by the Executive to end the disturbing allegations against the Senate leadership opens a new page in the relationship between the Executive and Legislature and was forthcoming because President Buhari has never been comfortable with actions or issues that unnecessarily heats up the polity.

He urges the National Assembly to reciprocate the spirit behind the resolution of the impasse by stepping up is collaborative efforts with the Executive arm of government in the arduous task of fixing the nation’s broken economy and infrastructure.

Atiku presidency will be worse than Sani Abacha’s looting

Look, my brother, Abubakar Atiku has been running for president since 1991. He will continue to run
until he drops dead in frustration, because Nigerians will continue to vote AGAINST him as a man
without any ideas or morals. The whole thing called Abubakar Atiku is huge emptiness. Here again,
he dismisses corruption as something to be embraced rather than an offence to be punished by law.
An Abubakar Atiku presidency will be worse than a Sani Abacha dictatorship in frauds and thefts.

Grossly disappointingly concomitant issues with this now “so-called” anti corruption war is energy sapping, I’ve given up hope on Buhari ditto for a lot of chaps, this is a negation of our initial anticipation, quite painful indeed, the man has become so “toothless” even Patience scares him. Pathetic!

They say at the end of a battle the women troop to congratulate the warriors and sing praises of the victor. All the time Saraki and Ekweremadu were fighting this legal battle Atiku had remained quiet. Now that the legal battle is over here he comes to congratulate Buhari!

    Some Nigeria politicians are dickheads.

  • Man_Enough

politics of settlement! that is what atiku represents. i see it as an insult to congratulate buhari on the matter because he has indirectly insinuated that the president interferes into judiciary matters. if this is how he will rule nigeria, then may God never grant him the chance to lead.

Nothing to commend. Buhari lost the game. Are they no longer guilty or is corruption now tolerated in Buhari’s government?

Buhari is rudderless and confused. All Nigerians now know that his lip service of anti-corruption is only directed towards those in his bad books ie the SE and SS or PDP members and supporters.
