Colombia’s President Juan Manual Santos has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize.
Mr. Santos was given the award for his efforts in ending the 50-year-old conflict between the Colombian government and FARC rebels.
Mr. Santos was picked out of 360 nominees.
The announcement was made by the chair of the selection committee, Kaci Kullman Five, in Norway.
The Nobel committee also gave recognition to the people of Colombia.
