President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his office at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Mr. Obasanjo arrived the villa at about 12: 30 pm and headed straight into Mr. Buhari’s office.
The reasons for Mr. Obasanjo’s visit are unknown at the moment.
The former president is a frequent visitor to the villa since leaving office in 2007 and most of his visits were to discuss national issues with sitting presidents.
Mr. Obasanjo was in the Villa last month and reports said he visited Mr. Buhari to discuss and offer advice on the seeming disagreements among heads of the nation’s security agencies.
Meanwhile, FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, and the secretary general of the world football governing body, Fatima Bangoura, are also in the presidential villa on a visit to the president.
The FIFA bigwigs were accompanied into the Villa by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung and the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.
