We trust Sheriff’s ability to reposition PDP – Governors Forum

Ali Modu Sheriff

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Governors Forum has expressed confidence in the ability of newly appointed National Chairman of PDP, Ali Modu Sheriff, to reposition the party and make it more inclusive.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Coordinator of the forum, Osaro Onaiwu, in Abuja on Wednesday.

The governors, according to the statement, said the emergence of Mr. Sheriff, ex-governor and senator, was done after careful deliberation given the battle ahead.

“Sheriff is coming on the job with immense wealth of experience and will no doubt use his vast network to rebuild the party.

“He will restore members’ confidence and act as a counterforce to the many antics of the present APC regime.”

The governors urged the new national chairman to avoid all diversionary tactics and work toward uniting all aggrieved members and fashion out modalities to woo new party faithful.

“We urge you to shun all diversionary tactics that might be thrown at you and concentrate on how to bring all aggrieved party members together; as well as fashion out ways to woo new members especially the youths.

“The forum is solidly behind you and will deploy its support to ensure that the shared vision for our party is realised as we prepare for 2019.”

The governors said the situation in the country was an opportunity for Mr. Sheriff to show that the PDP remained the only truly national party that could reunite the country.

PDP cannot afford anybody with a clean record to challenge their conscience to good behaviour. Birds of the same feather flock together.

When the late NSA said pdp was boko haram they plot his death. The man will turn in his grave and give a wryly smile of vindication that indeed pdp is boko haram. How will you interpret the choice of boko haram’s grandfather as pdp chairman. The man is not even a Nigerian but Chadian. I pity you oo pdp rats on this platform.

Your party is just dead, you should forget things and move forward, some of you should go and form another party because that same PDP can never resurrect again. It is over for them

This one that can not even close his mouth in resting position to make all his teeth feel inclusive is the one tasked with rescuing PDP? Goodluck.

I beg to differ. He is the wrong man at the wrong time. What Pdp needs is a man who can command confidence and not a divisive figure. Good bye to 2019 if it is your plan unless he steps aside.

    Wow! Nigeria is doomed.
