Osinbajo urges North-East people to join APC

Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Vice President of Nigeria

Vice- President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday said there was no justification for people in North-East of Nigeria to remain in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Mr. Osinbajo stated this when many members of PDP decamped to the All Progressives Congress Party, APC, in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

Mr. Osinbajo, represented by the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, said it was never too late for anyone wishing to join APC to do so.

“There is no justification for anyone in the north-east to remain in PDP.

“Therefore, I call on all my brothers and sisters in north-east to join our great party -APC.

“This is because we want all hands in building Nigeria, our great nation. You can never be too late in joining the APC,” he said.

The vice president called on all in the north-east to join APC to build the nation together.

Mr. Osinbajo also urged Nigerians yearning for change to exercise patience, saying that President Muhammad Buhari would soon unveil the programmes he has for the nation.

“I want to assure those who are saying that they are tired of waiting to see the change. The change is coming soon as discussions are ongoing.

“The president will soon reveal the programmes of the APC when he presents the 2016 budget on Tuesday.

“You will see the mind-set of the president who is ready to reposition the country,” the vice-president said.

He urged Nigerians to pray for the president and the APC to succeed.

We waited for months for the list of your ministers and when it came there were no surprises. You’re now again asking people to wait for your policies and wonder if there will be anything we may not already know. Everybody cannot be socialists and people cannot just change their political ideology overnight. You’re trying to make lazy people lazier by these your promises which you want them to wait for but may never be delivered. Create jobs for there is dignity in labour.

    • Sir Demo

Is PMB/PYO policies thrust and direction not clear to you still?

      • Jon Rhoma

Of course yes. That’s why I say there is no need for him to tell us that they will releasing them when we already know they’ve no policy.

      • babalawo

Please tell me what the policy direction is. I pray tell

        • emmanuel

Top 2015 budget with N1.4 trillion, borrow N2 trillion to finance it. What does that translate to? Nothing changed.
You must understand this simple analysis if you are not a mumu.
The bottomline, is that Nigeria will have to owe two Trillion Naira in one year for backing a bunch of inept Leaders in twelve months.

    • excel

your problem is that you find it difficult to comprehend with the message….. get a brain.

      • Jon Rhoma

Please go back to school. There is nothing like “to comprehend with the message”. Bad English. Anyway you another of the gullibles and not worth a reply.

  • Maria

PDP of course will not want you and your party to succeed. Never solicit prayer from that evil party…

    • Otile

Alhaja, say better. We are praying that Imam Mohamed Buhari will see reason and hand over to Hon Osinbajo. Don’t just support Mohamed blindly because he is of the same religion with you. Once in a while admit that you are a good Moslem, and Allah will bless you.

  • smart G

If a professor has descended so low as to ask people to switch party even when election is still far off it shows lack of direction.
For goodness sake they don’t need to change their party to have security, food good roads and better Medicare.
In America I never heard of people asking American to change party.
You vote for whoever appeals to you with his policy thrust.

    • Sir Demo

Wear your thinking cap please! Party are build when election is far off, not when election is on.

      • excel

his post says it all. he has no head, nor thinking cap.

    • Richard

You don’t know anything about American politics. I know that through your statements.

  • Omotolaaraujo

Send Fashola packing first. He wants average Nigerians to pay for infrastructure. They cannot afford it. The FG and the states must raise money and employ Nigerians to fix the broken down country. Get fuel to the public and enforce the price.

    • Richard

Even in Socialist countries everyone is paying for infrastructures. If you really want Nigeria to be great again , everyone must pay for infrastructures used. What we should be advocating is that whatever collected should be judiciously spent.

      • emmanuel

Yes o, I pay for generating my electricity, my water, my roads, the air I breathe and will have to pay same to government again and end up depend on what i generate.
Nor be Fashola and Amaechi? Companies on Lagos Island still run their generators steadily inspite of the much publicised Island Power fraud.
These fraudsters who within seven weeks in office crafted the Remitta fraud that has now been swept under the Carpet cannot be trusted with skinning Nigerians of their wretched state to run a fake Government.

  • babateem

We need changes an the only way is to abide with our government most especially our president he knows what he is doing see doing are own thing wit slow and steady because in this life we don’t need to rush an I know things we get better soonees

Nigerians are waiting patiently and God bless the president, you and the rest of us Nigerians. Those opposed to good can go and hang. The SE does not add any value whatsoever to the development of Nigeria as baby factories where they churn out nonsense cannot be counted for development. Nigeria will be great again and YES, the North East have no reasons whatsoever to still remain in the PDP after what Dasuki and the PDP(the congregation of the descendants of demons which once roamed the earth) has done to their lives.

    • adeade

      Always crazy as ever!!!

    • emmanuel

Animal, the Igbos are a million times better than your people. I thought you said change has come since May 29, 2015? But Osinbajo told us two days ago that change is coming.
You guys are jesters and clowns in position of Leadership by fraud.
Reber the DJ in Madagascar who ran that Country for a few years with no impact?
By January 2016 it will be eight months less forty eight of waitong for change. Nonsense
Jonathan left with $9 billion external debt in six years, but Buhari is borrowing $10 billion. (N2 trillion) in one year to finance 2016 budget deficit. This excludes about $5 billion he ha already taken since inception.
If una think say una don see anything, na joke una dey first. This Country may be completely liquidated in four year at this rate.

  • Otile

Hon Osinbaja, I pray that the Moslems will not use you in vain. I pray that Imam will see reality and hand over to you quickly. We know you can’t do much of your own until Imam gives you the chance. Hang in there my man, may God guide you.

  • emmanuel

Osinbajo has just confirmed what we have said repeatedly…..the change will soon come. did you hear that? I thought Tundemess, Wahala, Soyemi, Comfortkay,Mosaku, Ade, doublespeak, Burbank, Awosan, Burbank, proud Yorubamumu, Sam A have consistently said change has come?
So who is lying, Osinbajo, Liar Maohammed, e-miscreants, El-Rufai or Sai do-nothing baba?
Hear the yeye man call Fulanis his brothers and sisters. God forbid me call a people who rate a Southerner lower than aa Cow that. Thise whovwould rather a Fulani from Chad, Mali, Niger, Senegal and Cameroun enjoy better right than me in Nigeria as my brother? Never.
