About 30 people lost their lives and 67 others injured by multiple bomb explosions that occurred at Dadin/Kowa and Dukku motor parks of Gombe State Wednesday, a Red cross official has confirmed.
Abubakar Yakubu, who is the Secretary, Red Cross Society , Gombe State, told journalists that bodies were deposited at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FHT) Gombe and Specialist Hospital mortuary.
According to him, those who sustained injuries were given treatment at the FTH and Specialist hospital.
Fwaje Atajiri, Police Public Relation Officer, said that the Dadin/Kowa park blast occurred around 7:50 p.m.
The Dukku motor park blast occurred nearly two hours after the Dadin/kowa blast.
A witness, Suleman Isa, told PREMIUM TIMES that the Dadin/kowa park bomb exploded between mosque and the motor park, as people were coming out from the mosque.
