Jonathan warns politicians against instigating crisis

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday warned politicians against instigating crisis in the country, saying that the Federal Government will not condone any attempt to foment trouble while pursuing their personal ambitions.

The president issued the warning through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, at a news briefing with State House correspondents in Abuja.

Mr. Jonathan also called on all those who, through their actions and utterances, had been promoting divisiveness, sectionalism and ethnic hatred in the country following the outcome of the March 28 elections, to cease and desist from such actions.

According to him, such acts detract from the true spirit and culture of democracy envisioned by patriotic men and women of goodwill in Nigeria.

“The Federal Government will not condone any attempt to instigate a crisis in any part of the country in furtherance of personal political ambitions.

“President Jonathan assures all Nigerians that his administration remains fully committed to national progress and the entrenchment of the best values of democracy for the good of all Nigerians.

“He urges Nigerians to go out en-masse once again on April 11 to vote for candidates of their choice in the Governorship and State Assembly elections with the confidence that his administration will do all within its powers to ensure that they do so in peace, without threats, intimidation or violence from any quarters.”

Mr. Jonathan urged Nigerians to remain peaceful, united and law-abiding as they prepare for Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections.

He decried the attempt by some politicians, groups and individuals to intimidate others, heat up the polity and cause public disorder and disaffection in the aftermath of the Presidential and National Assembly elections.

“President Jonathan is especially concerned about the negative triumphalism that has been put on display by certain elements since March 31.

“It flies in the face of his personal commitment to post-election peace, unity and national stability.

“President Jonathan also condemns the undue harassment of public officials serving under his administration and urges all affected persons to continue to perform their lawful duties without fear.

“The president cautions that this should be a time for the healing of political wounds in the overriding interest of national unity, stability and progress, not a time for ethnic jingoism and the settling of scores.’’ (NAN)

On our presidential victory on March 28th, 2015

We express our appreciation to all those who cast their votes for
Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari to enable him win the presidential poll
on the 28th of March. This victory is NOT for Muslims alone. We
fully acknowledge the great efforts of others who joined hands to
    make Buhari’s election victory possible.

We are grateful to Pastor Adeboye who worked day and night to teach
his congregation the message of the Koran and the Hadith
without disclosing so – and has succeded building future Muslims
who fully support Sharia Law as taught to his congregation.

We must not fail to mention other Pastors who did more than Imams
to assure that their congregation now understand Islam and accept
Sharia Law across the 36 states of Nigeria. These Pastors are too
numerous to mention. But we must however especially note the Koranic
sermons of both Pastor Kumuyi and Pastor Oyedepo. May they increase
in knowledge and understanding of the Holy Koran and the Hadith.

This man is too old and washed out. With the image above, I bet you those who rigged him into office don’t love this country because they know he will not last the race. It bounces back to the question why OBJ picked the late Umaru Yar’ Adua to succeed him in office. He knew the man was dying but had to do so in order for his his game plan to fit. This is it again! A sick old man to run for four years as president. I reserve my comment until that day.

Did I hear them say “negative triumphalism”? Now they know how to speak English. When Jonathan’s aides and ministers were busy asking all of us to go to hell anytime we complained about the brazen impunity and massive looting of the treasury, what kind of triumphalism were they displaying? When Empress Diezani was telling us that presidential directives could be disregarded with impunity, what manner of triumphalism was that? When she was telling us that we do not have any right to ask questions about the billions she was spending on private jets, she was not displaying triumphalism? What about Abba Moro and David Mark with the immigration recruitment scam and tragedy? And the Ekiti rigging tape which Mr. President dismissed even without the benefit of an investigation? When the same president told the whole nation on national television that he does not give a damn, what was he displaying? Now the want to speak English because they think we cannot remember. They have not seen any thing yet.
