Bola Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari
Bola Tinubu and Muhammadu Buhari

The National leader, All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has described the victory of the Presidential candidate of the APC, General Muhammadu Buhari, as Nigeria’s finest moment in its political history.

“It is a moment when hope is re-born, faith is rekindled and a fresh fire of patriotism is released for the task ahead. I congratulate General Buhari, Nigeria’s President-elect, on his hard won victory,” Mr. Tinubu said.

“I salute our gallant party leaders and members for running the long distance to victory. To millions of Nigerians, I say this – the APC seeks not power for its sake, but for the purpose of bringing a better life to our people and re-building our country.

“This is also democracy’ s finest moment. Nigerians alive today have witnessed the beginning of an era of change . They made this happen and they are the true celebrants and they are deserving. Together, we share this victory.Side by side we would work together to bring our country back.”

Mr Tinubu, the grandmaster behind it all. I commend you. I haven’t always been a fan, but this could not have happened without you. Thank you.

    • Tunsj

      Couldn’t agree more.

    • tundemash

Mastet tactician…..the big masquerade that scares PDP !

  • ConScience

Hate him or Love him he would forever be rewarded with the unique distinction of realizing a National Opposition Party (NOP) that was able to wrest power from the jaws of the Ruling Party – an almost impossible feat – through the mandates of the people. Unlike Awolowo who sought regional power, the Lion of Bourdillon sought to ensure the right alliance to ensure a true NOP. I feel his vision is inspired by his quest for socialism for Nigeria where the most basic necessities is available for every Nigerian. Ironically for so much hate for the North by the Niger Deltans, the North voted significantly for GEJ compared to what the South South and South East did for GMB. SS and SE we need to be more inclusive and learn to be one Nigeria. What GEJ failed to do in your areas you will be shocked GMB would significantly do in terms of real infrastructural developments. #Change #OneNigeria

    • Ken

Is Tinubu the president now? He can never be. The SW will suffer for what they did. GEJ has nothing to lose. He was VP for 3 years and President for 5 years; he has done well. Nigerians shall regret their actions. You don’t know what you have until you lose it.

      • Julius

vp for 3 years, president for 5 years, so why did he run for re-election ? sidon abeg. He is a failure who was beaten to a pulp by a ’72 years old , brain dead’ man. Go figure.

      • Tunsj

Nonsense. Who are you to say that the Southwest will suffer for what they did? You’re about as clueless and ill informed as they come. You should think it through before you make ridiculous comment.

      • tundemash

Cl0wn … is the number of years in leadership that matters or how well ?
SouthWest will suffer in your dreams …. just go and ick your wounds quietly. Please make Jona your life Bayelsa President. Nigeria don’t want him or na by force ?

      • CHRISTOPHER AGBO

Odeburuku, go and sleep, the battle has been fought and Nigerians have won, Ken Nigerians chose a man that they believe can help them and they are right so what is the matter?. Goat go and find your yam.

      • ConScience

Pathetic!!! We knew what we had in a failure of a PDP party hence the reason we wanted to lose it like a bubonic plague. Good riddance to bad rubbish. And if the APC fails us we will be rid of them as well. Era of impunity and insensitivity to the populace is over. We do not feed on crumbs as we demand infrastructural, community and social developments nation wide. No exceptions.

  • tuby NY

I predicted this victory by numbers n states APC will win n I was proven RIGHT! I thank God for finally turning his attention 2 this BLESSED but abused country/people of HIS.. yup its A NEW DAWN n I strongly believe President Buhari wuld be UP TO TASK n more.. I BELIEVE IN HIM n HIS HIGHLY qualified LEADERSHIP QUALITY.

I have personally as a Nigerian forgiven ex-gov Bola Tinubu for any misdeeds (financial, abuse of power n others) linked n associated to his name n I will explain WHY n my REASONS another time or upon request. TODAY, it’s all about our “DEAR leader” SAI Buhari n the magnitude of MAJOR recovery (economy, corruption, discipline n RULE of law) our country is bout TO EXPERIENCE, thanks n congrats 2 us all!

    • Oladapo Sunday

      why have you forgiven him?

  • Gidi

All hail the Jagaban Borgu, the slayer of PDP machinery, and the liberator of Nigeria masses from the shackle of PDP rules. The Lion has spoken, we will listen, and give Buhari 1 yr honey moon to switch gear and restore the rule of law. Some of us are sucker for process and principle, and we would like impunity discarded in Nigeria.

Starting from Ekiti, we would like to see rule of law restored. No more using of soldier and police to truncate democratic system and principles. No more 7 house members hijacking house proceedings, at the expense of 19 majority. Rules must be followed. No governor should be allowed to impose his will on the legislature, there ought to be check and balance.

We would like to see our politician go back to their constituency every 2-3 weeks and deliver a report on what they are doing for their people. This is how we can bring governance close to the people. The people must be carried along…politicians must listen.

Finally, I would also like to see strong opposition. I want PDP to reform, rebuild and re-brand their party. A strong three party system is the best way to go. My preference will be APC (progressive), PDP (conservative) and Independent. This is the only way we can move forward. Time to unleash the ingenuity of Nigeria in the areas of commerce, science, Art and Sport. I deliberately left out religion because it should be a personal thing. We’ve seen enough religion over the past 50 yrs. We have the talent, we can do it with purposeful leadership. All Nigerians are craving for is Leadership by example. Hopefully, Buhari will show us what it means to be a selfless leader and leadership by example.

  • Omo Akinkanju

Nigeria’s finest moment indeed. By the grace of God, The Lord shall free Lagosians from your grip. And if you believe you can use GMB or Osinbajo to loot Nigeria’s treasury, then u better think twice. By the time Buhari starts dealing with the Yorubas, i would surely be having the last laugh. I regretted being a Yoruba this very moment. Infact am really ashamed of the Yoruba youths living down South because they dont really know what is happening up North. I pray Buhari succeeds in his intention, then you all would see the greatest mistakes of your miserable lives you just made. As for Tinubu, your greatest defeat is coming!

    • Abanj

Rubbish. You can be ashamed of us all you want, we are proud of the fact that we expressed our desire for change.

    • tundemash

Olodo omo ale … you are free to renounce being a Yoruba !
Whether you like it or not, Tinubu remain the finest olitician in Yoruba land today. If you know any other , name them !

      • Oladapo Sunday

tinubu leads. he has successfully delivers nigeria

        • tundemash

Yes o ! All haters can go and die !

      • Churchill Roosevelt

And you truly believe he is Yoruba.Have you ever seen an Ómò Oduduwa ashamed of being Yoruba.NEVER.
Remember they said Tinubu was going to see defeat.Who got the defeat? The new song again is that he would be defeated. You and I know better.Yoruba people will speak again.
I only hope he will be on this page to admit and concede defeat.I hope he will summon the courage to congratulate him.
God deliver from amongst the Yorubas “awon oni ‘ilara’,’itara’,’ibinu’ ati ‘òte’
Tinubu remains an enigma and like a lion,he sends terrifying fear into the heart of the heartless. The moment you mention the name ‘Tinubu’ they simply loose their appetite

        • tundemash

na dem be this when they heard Buhari was back from London….

When they hear “Tinubu”, they piss in their pants! Awon omo ale, ala ini oriki, alatenuje, afenifebi, oloriburuku radarada !

Without Tinubu, Buhari would have been easy cake for them to devour as they did 3 times in the past !

          • share Idea

What is disgusting about APC is that they behave and believe that whenever their leaders talks or passes, people will just be running away as if an angel is visiting the earth to destroy the ungodly. Governance is not about magic but by open and transparent policies that the governed can believe and subscribe to.

Has anybody bothered why this majestic transformation has never happened in APC controlled states. As a rational and educated person, I’m not impressed by APC mantra but wished I’ll be proved wrong as that is what greater majority of good loving Nigerians wants.

          • Churchill Roosevelt

May be you have buried your head in the sand like the proverbial “Ostrich”.The APC states are just about 14 and they contribute 70-75% of Nigeria’s GDP.
Visit Osun state to see transparent and socialist ideals and transformation achieved with meagre resources. What about Edo and Oyo, Ogun and Lagos.Have you taken a tour of the Eko Atlantic City?
Please do and be astounded with the new Palm Jumeirah ,Dubai in Nigeria.Lagos is a site in progress and only wish she gets a quarter of what Akwa Ibom gets in Allocation.Even with its over 21 million population census,it has managed its resources well and applied smart chaps and modern governance in its operations.

          • share Idea

“Visit Osun state to see transparent and socialist ideals and transformation achieved with meagre resources.”…did I hear you say transparent and socialist ideals in Osun that can not pay salaries for more than 4 months. Guy, everything is not propaganda – it is sheer wickedness for a government not to pay workers salary for a month talk-less of 5 months arrears when such workers do not have any credit card or benefit allowance.

Please stop exposing your ignorance and lies to general public. How does a government expect their workers to meet basic demands of life with such inhuman treatment. Can Osun government function for more than a month without revenue allocation from centre – yet he expects workers to continue working for more than 4 months without pay.

        • mdsurgeon

I will not be surprised if he is a Yoruba by birth, just like Femi Aribisala whose primary political mission in life is to bash Tinubu. They are all entitled to their opinions but is for others like you and I to set them straight.

    • Oladapo Sunday

tinubu’s grip is better to gej and pdpigs.

    • mdsurgeon

You need to get off your high horse. Do you imagine that this finest moment could have been possible without Tinubu’s contributions, without his sacrifice and political sagacity? Like him or hate him, the man is an astute political strategist, a political titan of his time. This victory is for Tinubu as well.

      • tundemash

u dey mind haters ? Let them keep hating …. Tinubu is far greater than their fathers!

    • Ade

Please you can adopt a berom name to hide your yoruba identity. Religious bigot.

    • oye

Akinkanju, I advice u come back to Yoruba land since this where u belong. Bt we need to put our past behind n embarase change so that our country can progress.
About looting Lagos, pls if u have proof, let’s organise lawyers n take him to court.
If u know how many youths re looking for job, u ll knw that they deserve d change they got through GMB.
      God bless Nigeria.

  • Papashango77

GMB pls help us restore this country back to factory setting..

    • tundemash

      lol! Factory default setting.
Walahi…. i haven’t laughed this much in a long time. Thanks for this.
