Card Reader dysfunction not severe – PDP chair, Mu’azu

PDP Chairman, Adamu Muazu

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu, has said that the percentage of the technical hitches encountered with card readers during the accreditation is tolerable.

Mr. Mu’azu, who was accredited at his home Boto, said there is no perfection in technology as only Almighty God can be perfect. He rejected calls for the cancellation of the use of Card Reader machines for the accreditation of voters.

According to him, “I cannot arbitrarily call for the cancellation of the usage of the Card Readers and the Permanent Voter Cards. I know professor Jega to be a successful and courageous intellectual and so far he has done very well.”

Similarly, the member representing Dass/Bogoro/Tafawa Balewa constituency in the House of Represenatives, Yakubu Dogara, said the benefit of the Card Reader and the Permanent Voter Cards far outweigh their disadvantages.

The Bauchi South senatorial district candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Ali Wakili, who was successfully accredited at the Kofa Pada polling station in Bauchi state, also said the hitches encountered were tolerable.

The Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Suleiman Bogoro, on his part, said the use of the Card Reader would help in dealing with the problem of rigging and multiple registration as it used to be in the past.

Muazu is the most dangerous PDP leader ever to be hired by the party——a hardcore thief———if there is one in the party—Time he is told to shut up———————–and go hide his bloody head in shame——-He has not done anything to raise the hopes of the president–How he managed to be made Chair of PDP is still a mystery

    • You are truly brain dead. When is your funeral?

    • tundemash

Yeah right. You abhor the truth .

Eve Aso Rock residents reject PDP ….. no more amnesty crumbs for you.

      • share Idea

If Buhari wins, it will not by easily appreciated by people because of the way INEC handled the issue of card reader. To me I’ll say that crad reader mess up good works put in by INEC to make the election credible, so many results could have been authenticated during the day, but now, reports have that in so many polling booths, counting of votes were done using phone light and you can imagine the kind of results that can come out of such scenarios. A team winning a football match is not always what matters but the officiating also counts. INEC that vowed that manual accreditation will never be used and later reversed itself.if they had taken that decision early so many people would have completed voting early and vote counting witnessed by voters at the polling booths.

        • Wähala

Go sitdon! Card readers malfunctioned in only 5 States and is because of jammers employed by PDP to try and cause chaos but it didn’t work. That charade in Otuoke was just to make it seem like the SCR affected even a candidate in this elections, but the senseless plot failed because the card reader succeeded in identifying Eunice, Mama Dumbo! The clown lost in the Presidential Villa and you’re here blaming INEC. Sour loser… crumb days are over, go patch your fishing canoe bcos you miscreants are headed back to the creeks and oyel bunkering. Aborigine animals!

          • share Idea

Listen to yourself please. PDP brought card reader jammer and card reader was able to read GEJ’s mother card

          • Wähala

Do you believe Dumbo’s deceit? He and his drum-wife were acting out a script thinking that the device was not working properly in most parts of the country bcos their Israeli hacker jammed INEC. He wanted to come and claim, ‘even I was affected’ by the faulty devices. Problem with most of you is you don’t think deep enough, that’s why… “some people must be banned from thinking” – Höly Wähala

Following the widespread condemnation of General Muhammadu Buhari over recent reports which revealed how his current wife, Aisha was forced into marriage with him as a minor at the tender age of 9, below are comments by Nigerian women from all walks of life reacting to the chilling scandal. Yemi Adebowale compiles the reports.

    –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“The reports that General Muhammed Buhari married his wife at the age of 9 and got her pregnant at age 12 and she gave birth to her first child at 13 is terribly shocking. Just terrible. Child marriage is one of the scourges of our society. It is child abuse at its very worst, it victimises the girl child, weakens the family structure, and destroys the fabric of community. It is a scandal of the 21st century Nigeria and it is an evil has been made illegal in Muslim countries like Egypt, Iraq, and Syria. Nigeria needs to follow suit. This singular issue makes Buhari grossly unqualified to lead Nigerian women into the future. We have to keep moving forward. “

    • Ogom

      Too late. Go and rest.

    • This brain dead again!

    • tundemash

Medicine after death. Nigerians have decided and your people are awaiting Dumbo’s arrival back in Otuoke.

      • D1

        Lol!

    • voltron

Lie lie lie. Big fat lie. He married her at the age of 19 and had their first child Halima at the age of 21.
Secondly, she was never forced to marry him. Arranged marriage, yes it was but the final yes was given by her only.

      Get your facts right.

    • Abdul

Lol. Failure is your name. You no no anything you this guy. DO YOU REALLY THINK JONATHAN CAN WIN THIS ELECTION? GOSH.

    • taewo

Let me provide this analysis, assuming you are a reasonable human being. Buhari married his current wife after he was released from IBB’s detention in 1988. The wife was born in 1970. 1989-1970=19. How did you arrive at 9?

    • Nwa _ Africa

That is old story as were we dey now is he is about to defeat Jonathan

  • Burning spear the brain dead has resumed his usual belated lamentation. Who can help this poor fellow out of his misery?

  • hummm

Wait a minutes, is Muazu trying to defect? His other pdp members as of today has rejected the card reader as a failure, but Muazu says its not bad? Something is up, this guy is already leaving pdp.

    • Omo Akin

I have posted it elsewhere regarding the case of Jonah Jang. Those who are opposed to the use of card reader can put anything on their thumb and the card reader would not be able to read their thumb-print. if everyone wants to prevent multiple voting, cooperating with INEC to make the card reader work will be easy. But when Jang’s government sued to prevent the use of the card reader, it is logical that he will want an opportunity to discredit the card reader. If PDP administration wants to use technology to fight corruption and also secure the pipeline, is using technology to prevent multiple voting not supposed to be a national priority?

      • Du Covenant

I agree with you 110%, Jang is an evil man capable of doing anything under the sun!. Another thought that came to mind is lack of knowledge of how to operate the smart cards. How were these corpers selected to work for INEC?. The Nigerian factor of who you know must have played a role. Having a University does not make you IT literate because from what I am hearing many of these people just did not know how to operate the card readers…

    • Fulani Nomad

May be he isn’t thinking with stomach as does the other PDPigs. He remained the only conscious human in PDP didn’t say anything banal about APC.

    • Nwa _ Africa

He is not in charge of PDP now but Uche Secondus because the man told them that he want issue based campaign and they started fighting him….

    • ilesanmi

What you are watching right now is the play of the “great conspiracy” by the North and south – West against Jonathan and the minority south – south. The South – south youths knew this long ago and they are watching. Muazu and other northern members of the PDP had been APC moles in PDP to perfect the conspiracy . Remember the prophesy of prophet T.B Joshua that it is the voting that will tell us who is “PDP” and who is “APC”. However the outcome of this election will decide Nigeria.

  • Progress

It is an open secret that PDP big wigs met and concluded to do every thing possible to discredit the whole voting process starting with the card reader. all you need to coat your thumbs in the previous night with oil, in the morning remove the gloss so as not to be apparent and the card readers will fail! The INEC officials will not be bold enouhg to suggest cleaning with spirit! PDP PLANNED AND ACTED AS PREDICTED TO FRUSTRATE INEC AT ALL COST. With all the soldiers in Rivers states, people were killed like flies

INFORMATION REACHING US IS THAT TINUBU IS THE OWNER OF ACT TECHNOLOGIES.

Revealed: How INEC Paid ACT.Technologies N2.6bn for Production of PVCs
Payments made through JAIZ Bank, FCMB
As the controversy continues to trail the production and supply of the permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) for the elections, it has emerged that a Nigerian company, ACT.Technologies Limited, was awarded a N2.6 billion contract by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to produce the PVCs, which was in turn sub-contracted to a Chinese firm.

This is coming as the Chairman of the commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Thursday decried the antics of politicians ahead of the elections, noting that their actions were becoming a threat to the conduct of peaceful polls.

Based on the electronic payments exclusively obtained from INEC by THISDAY, the transfers showed that over N2.6 billion was paid to the Nigerian company for the production and supply of over 68.8 million PVCs within a period of seven months.

It was further gathered that the PVCs were expected to be produced at a unit cost of N65. wHY SHOULD I WITH DUE RESPECT MAKE ANY SENSE TO THE BRAIN OF A BAIFRAN WAR VETERAN CHIEF WAHALA?

Nigerians hit by failures in new election technology return to the polls on Sunday, to allow them to cast their ballots in the country’s close-run presidential election.

President Goodluck Jonathan — who is running against former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari — and at least three governors from his ruling party were among those whose biometric details could not be checked by the devices, which are designed to combat electoral fraud.

Instead, they had to be processed by hand. Jonathan’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) called it a “huge national embarrassment” and a “vindication” of their position against the technology.

“There should have been a test-run for a smaller election before deploying it for an election of this magnitude,” said Jonathan’s presidential campaign spokesman Femi Fani-Kayode. NOW COMPARE THIS TO WHAT THE MOLE–MUAZU IS SAYING———-VICTORY IS YOURS MR PRESIDENT——–IN SPITE OF THE MAGO MAGO——————BY APC

Dumbo himself is happy with Jega’s INEC and called for patience which he exercised with his drum-wife until they were allowed to vote manually. Their PDP Chairman is happy with Jega’s technology and hails INEC performance thus far. Wetin come dey give you heart attack so? Eccentric multi-posts will not save you from the depression that will hit you ike Amadioha slap in the coming hours & days. I warned you as, @Deri, @Redeem d redeemer, @Deri Orbuka… on SR several years ago that this moment will come. Remember @Sa’ad Ibrahim Nagodi? This victory is for him. Tundemash and Höly Wähala secured it for him with our persistent push for Change years ago before it became a slogan in Nigeria today… remember your “Tripod” of Ijaw haters on SR? I will rob pepper on your slimy Aborigine balls and wait until this victory is carved on stone before I really deal with you. Today is just the beginning, keep posting with a hundred names, like I’ve told you… “you stink like soaked stock fish from a mile away”. Olodo. Ode buruku. Aborigine Drunkard!

You need to be calm bro, you are taking this election process too far, election will go and Nigeria will still be in her right place, man why is only Pdp complaining, when other parties are going to be disenfranchised as well, you ought to be calm and let start from somewhere in this country. God bless you and God bless Nigeria

      • share Idea

They complain because they are government in power and would like lose transparently if that is wish of Nigerian electorates instead of current episode. Think of how CBN is implementing cashless policy with minimal inconvenience and more testing before nationwide rollout. Card reader is my preferred options and could have been managed better. My fear of GEJ losing this election is the possibility of Buhari reversing some of the great innovations he started that have not matured. Think of National ID card, CBN bank verification number, federal ministry of finance technological policies and more importantly abandoning of the PVC in future election.

  • David Adeniran

“I cannot arbitrarily call for the cancellation of the usage of the Card Readers and the Permanent Voter Cards. I know professor Jega to be a successful and courageous intellectual and so far he has done very well.” PDP Chairman.
Again Jonathan is loosing ground! Can you imagine the statement from his party National Chairman!

Burning spear, I wonder what your argument is on Jega and card reader, if you gonna sit down and think this is 2015, Rome they say wasn’t built in a day and I know Microsoft and Apple did not just get it right as well in 4-5 years, as you say Nigeria is a developing country and we ought to start somewhere though, I ask Jega to not give in on any political party, someday the card reader is going to be perfect to perform it’s duty, bro I believe in my heart that Nigeria is gonna be great again and take its right position in the World, I know you and I are gonna benefit someday from our fatherland. God bless you all and God bless Nigeria.
