President Jonathan begged me thrice to dump APC – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, A Former President of Nigeria

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has revealed how President Goodluck Jonathan repeatedly appealed to him to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, and return to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party.

Atiku said the president pleaded with him three times, once during a surprise midnight visit to his house.

The former VP made the revelation in an interview with the Hausa service of the BBC, during which he also explained why he has not been very visible in the campaign rallies of his party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr. Abubakar said he turned down the personal request of President Jonathan to return to the PDP on three separate occasions.

He said the last was in Abuja last Friday when the President paid him a surprise midnight visit.

He said on that day, he received speaker Aminu Tambuwal and ex-military leader, Ibrahim Babangida, and they held fruitful discussions.

“In the evening I went to bed early, but at around 12 am, I was told the president was in my sitting room, so I came down and after exchanging pleasantries, I asked him to what I deserved such a visit and he said he just came back to still plead with me for support,” Atiku said.

“He said I need to go back to the PDP because we built the party and we are its founding fathers, and that we needed to go back and rebuild it.

“I told him this is the third time you are asking me to return to the PDP and my answer has always been the same; I am not going back,” Atiku said.

On speculations that the President also suggested an interim government to the former Vice President, Mr. Abubakar said the matter never came up.

“He did not bring it up, and I also did not,” he said. “We just spoke about politics and the security situation in the country.”

“He did not bring it up, and I also did not… We just spoke about politics and the security situation in the country.” – Atiku
This is why nobody trusts Abubakar Atiku, he’s not a truthful person. Always hiding behind his motives. No man visits another man middle of the night to just talk about politics and national security, no once but trice… and always midnights! Returning from another midnight visit to Yola was why on outrider died escorting $Dumbo on surreptitious night-duty. Atiku is not telling me the whole story, however, he is better off on the winning team than return to his vomitus at the PDP…like the cheap junkie Fani-Kayode!

It is not called begging, joor. After all stealing is not categorized under corruption, is it? It is called Last Minute DESPERATION, aka LMD. He started by throwing the trowel out the window. Not done, he moved a step further by doing the sink and the bathtub. He would be known as The President Who Chilled For Six Years Until One Month To Elections… This is the right time to ask him to declare his assets. Pronto! Is it worth dying for? Is it?

LATER JONA WOULD SAY HE’S NOT DESPERATE.

President Jonathan is an embarrassment to Nigerians. He simply cannot govern. He does not know what governance is about. Just see how President Jonathan politicized, used and destroyed the following: (i) the military (ii) the christian association-CAN, (iii) OPC and MASSOB, (iv) individual Nigerians, (v) the so-called Human rights group that organized the so-called Lagos WALK AGAINST TERROR, (iv) section of Yoruba Afenifere, (v) the Igbo Ohanaeze, (vi) NANS. (vii) Nigerian Police. How does he do this? To fund these evil , desperate and criminal moves, he uses oil money he has stockpiled through phoney means over time, through people like Diezani Alison Madueke, through business men that got import waivers, through traders like Arthur Eze etc. These are the sources of his illicit and seemingly endless funds. But this is not governance. Under President Jonathan Nigeria has been turned into a banana republic. President Jonathan must leave.

buring spear, did I read you well? Did you mention “confused regional thoughts”? Hm. So why did President Jonathan BRIBE violent regional and tribal groups like MASSOB(Igbo) , OPC(Yoruba) and Niger Delta terrorists-Dokubo-asari, boyloaf, and Government Tompolo(South South) with 7 billion Naira oil pipeline contract? What can be more regional and tribalistic than this? It seems Jonathan has no notion of modern governance than deal making among dark and tribal forces in society. You, and Goodluck Jonathan are the most tribalistic, regional, divisive and sectional people I have ever seen or read in Nigeria.

Buhari cannot take any step without a Wasc/Cambridge certificate.
2019 election is the next best option. There’ll be no APC in 2019.
Once Buhari is pushed or jumps out of 2015 race, APC is dead.

The president is not desperate—that is how his gentle soul was created—-to operate—with 9jas——–to see all regardless of tribal marks as 9jas—There is no respect between the souls of two individuals-such as the one in-Atiku –if their minds can’t trust each other and there is no trust between them if their hearts can’t accept the truth of each other as Nigerians. In life you have a choice. It’s your choice to stay, go or come back. Politics is a game of number. Just like Tinubu begged you and the seven rebel governors and you made a decision there is nothing wrong if the President also approach you to have rethink. Going to APC in my opinion shuts the door permanently on Atiku’s ambition to rule this nation. If Buhari wins, he would have taken 8 years of the north. If Jonathan wins Atiku may have opportunities to stand in 2019 on the platform of PDP. In APC, with Tinubu and Obj, the die is cast for Atiku, because they know he is a potent threat to their domination. So it’s your choice Mr Atiku.

    • sawston

“It will be a disaster for all of Africa if Buhari is elected”

Mr. (Muhammadu) Buhari’s election as Nigeria’s head of state
would be a disaster for Africa. It would also signal trouble for the
West’s fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East.

Western foreign policy observers, pre-occupied with the rise of ISIS
of ISIS in the Middle East should wake up to the reality unfolding in Nigeria.
Opposition candidate General Buhari wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria.

In fact, he wants it everywhere. I will continue to show openly and
inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over
Nigeria,” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop
the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.”

Agitation? Is this an indication that Mr. Buhari supports violence because
the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an
Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by
    leaders of the Obama administration.

I’m sorry but I think your comment is quite shallow and lacks credidibility. For such a serious ‘quote’ from General Buhari, you need to give us more than Richard Grenell’s name and duration of service in the UN.
      1. The U.S is a developed and more civilized nation (sadly not the same can be said of Nigeria) and as such their politicians don’t just make claims without substantive proof.
      2. Uploading the guy’s picture doesn’t make your comment any more justified cow anyone can google a picture and upload.
My advice, if you really want to support your comment with some credibility, kindly attach the link to the original article where Richard Grenell was quoted instead of attaching his picture. As it is, your comment is just a joke!

    • Omoagunmate

How? spending 6 years of a mandate to waste a nation’s resources, create division, encourage the killings of the defenseless citizens, destroy the reputation of your country and when its time for election, go about begging, persuading, bribing crooks, thugs, thieves to help you rig election? I think one crucial thing is missing in your analysis, and that is the “PEOPLE” who are on the receiving end of the years of misrule, they don’t need to be convinced abi? When a politician begs individuals for votes instead of appealing to the masses through performance, voters should expect nothing from the politician but cluelessness, and this is the hallmark of GEJ. Did he beg the SW in particular in 2011 before they massively voted for him? yet apc dumped atiku—————he is never invited to their raliies and he is begging to be noticed—————–Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he has not been attending the campaigns of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku, in an interview with BBC Hausa, in the early hours of Friday, said he had not been invited to the APC presidential campaign rallies.

He said he would not attend the campaign if not invited. The former vice president was an aspirant in the presidential primaries in which Buhari emerged the winner.

He said, “There are minor irregularities in connection with the system being followed by the campaign team of General Buhari but we are trying to correct it. They need to check the strategy they are adopting.

Atiku said he had informed the director of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, about the issue. “I told him that if he did not invite me, I will not go,” he added.

  • Mosaku 147

Atiku is a political heavyweight,no dought.but he dare’s not contemplate decamping at this point as his interest is more achievable in APC than PDP. Whatever decision he takes or makes now will have little or no impact on the elections. If GEJ weren’t so daft,he should have known Atiku can’t stop the moving change train. As for mr Atiku,a word is enough for the wise.

Humility AS DEPICTED in Jonathan is the key to greatness in the kingdom of God . Virtues Like submission and obedience, service to others, can never manifest without humility, Jesus connected greatness as he humbled himself and submitted to the will of the father. Through Humility he connected greatness and exaltation; it is the same way God chooses those who will be great in the eyes of the world. Look at the way Jonathan rose from nothing to become president where great minds like Awo ati Zik failed. Those who have learnt to say nevertheless not my will but thine be done are destined for greatness, but they must also remember that the only way for them to connect with greatness is through many afflictions—such as boko haram and impish way APC is doing all to demonize Jonathan-

“When 59 boys were murdered by Boko Haram at the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, President Jonathan and his handlers not only did nothing, they said nothing. The President only sent the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Abdul Bulama, one whole year after the tragic incident, to convey his “grief” with the parents. One year after? That is diabolical! Note this is not yet about the President failing in his sworn responsibility to protect the people of Nigeria – he has so failed that Nigerians themselves no longer care to expect him to be responsible on that front – this was the President not caring to commiserate with the parents and relatives. This is not only a failure of leadership; it is a failure of President Jonathan’s humanity”

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has explained why he has not been attending the campaigns of the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen.Muhammadu Buhari.

The inspector General of the Nigerian Police, has warned Nigerians to cast their votes and leave the polling area, immediately, so that law and order can be maintained.

Professor Jega and APC are saying the opposite, encouraging people to mill around polling booths after voting, which will spark off serious disturbances, fights and complete breakdown of law and order.

This can lead to security issues, whereby the Police and security agencies will be forced to maintain law and order, immediately.

Nigerians, do not be misled by the selfish ambitions of others or be allowed to be used as their electoral thugs or even cannon fodder.

Kindly be advised to follow the security instructions of the inspector General of Police of Nigeria, abide by the laws, leave the polling booth after voting at once and do not for any reason get involved in any illegal electoral act, criminal matter or violent acts.

Complaints will be treated by the relevant agencies, electoral tribunals and the courts of law, and not by milling around polling booths to cause illegal disturbances, criminal acts of announcing parallel results or illegal acts of treason like forming a parallel Government.

Election tribunals and the courts of the land are the only institutions vested with the constitutional powers to deal with electoral issues.

Nigerians be warned, to not follow the misadvise of those who seem to want to cause electoral instability, insecurity, violence and even what may lead to treasonable acts.

    God bless Nigeria!!

Mr Atiku is a very mature man. Can we see how his descriptions of the President’s lines of actions are loaded with respect!! Can we learn from his decorous approach instead of hauling insults, invectives and negative feelings on the person of Mr President!! Even if you don’t want to vote for Mr President, please give him that simple respect as the President of the this great nation for now; I think the office is massive and demands better than using such words as dumbo, clueless etc to describe the occupant of such an office. We may be entitled to freedoms of speech and expression but lets not be inappropriate in exercising such liberties. I feel ashamed reading the kind of words my educated compatriots use to describe their ”numero unu”; and folks outside our shores read such things and judge us accordingly. Why I Chose General Buhari Over Goodluck Jonathan – Chioma Ogwuegbu @AfricanCeleb
Last October after the APC presidential primaries, I tweeted these words ‘I will never vote Buhari.’ I had my reasons, the major one being my conviction that voting a former military dictator does not bode well for a democracy. That same reason was why I never voted General Olusegun Obasanjo the two times he contested and won. The same reason I never voted Buhari in 2011 nor the other times he had contested. I felt that all former military dictators had had their time and it was time for us to move on.
I knew General Muhammad Buhari’s antecedents and track record, that of the upright, somewhat rigid no-nonsense former military man who did not compromise his values or his integrity. He had always run on an anti-corruption campaign platform with the aura of someone who did not mind to go it alone if that was what was required of him. I admired that, but I was not convinced that was all that was required for me to give him my vote. Especially not after the massacre that took place during the 2011 elections and all the inciting statements that were attributed to him.
Up until February 8th, I had not decided whom I would vote or rather, I had decided I would vote neither Buhari nor the incumbent, President Goodluck Jonathan but I did not have any other candidate. Sometimes, I toyed with the idea of voting Oluremi Sonaiya of KOWA Party but I did not know her track record. As for Jonathan, I did not vote him in 2011 and it felt like in the 4 years since then he had proven why I thought it was a bad idea to not vote him. From mismanaging the economy to mishandling that nation’s security challenges, Jonathan has proven himself to be an incompetent leader.
The abduction of the Chibok girls and the loss of Nigeria’s territories to insurgency due to mostly a lack of political will to tackle it convinced me that Jonathan does not have what it takes to remain president. I have a 5 year-old somewhat precocious daughter, she has a mouth on her. Recently whilst we were driving somewhere, Kaline’s song ‘Bring Them Home’ (a tribute to the Chibok girls) came on the radio. My daughter said to me somberly,
‘Mommy, if somebody took me away from you, I would miss you so much?’
It saddened me that Nigeria had become a country where a 5 year-old could live under the apprehension that some unknown persons could come steal her away from her family. Who should get the blame for that if not the nation’s chief security officer, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan? On top of all of this, to me the biggest testament to Jonathan’s failure as a president is the fact that Buhari has become a viable alternative.
However, Buhari has not just become the viable alternative because of Jonathan’s incompetence but also because this time he has aligned himself with a competent, accomplished team. His campaign team has the right mix of technocrats and politicians. His choice of Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Professor of Law and a former attorney general of Lagos, as vice presidential candidate speaks volumes. The first time I encountered Osinbajo was in March 2013 when he held a meeting with some social media influencers. He spoke so eloquently about the APC’s plans and with a deep understanding of Nigeria’s challenges and how they could be tackled. I left that meeting hoping he would one day be able to work for Nigeria at the national level. I was impressed when Buhari chose him as running mate.
I am not religious so my vote will not be based on religion. I am a nationalist so my vote will not be based on ethnic sentiments. Yet my vote will be based on sentiments, it will be based on emotions, on love for my country, love for my child and for myself. I do not want my beloved country to continue down this path of perdition, I still want my daughter to have a place she calls home 20 years from now. Buhari with his current team can put a stop this journey towards destruction. For this reason, I choose General Muhammad Buhari, to bring Nigeria back to the right path.

    • BankyMons

You guys are daydreaming! There is no way Mr Buhari with his ethnic and religious bigotry will ever win a sitting President who has done so so much for this country never mind the propaganda being spewed by the APC spin machines! The fact remains that Buhari will fail again and the security agencies are more than ever prepared for Buhari and his league of trouble makers. If he tries what he did in 2011, he may not live to tell his story. He should find out from Abiola who declared himself President in 1994.

      • Gaskiya

At age 20, Buhari joined the armed forces in 1962. His highest formal education before then was an elementary school leaving certificate in Arabic studies. Sames as Atiku-who has a diploma in Nursing from Niger Republic. He then enrolled at the Nigerian Military Training College, Kaduna for a three-month preparation course as a cadet. He received additional seven months at Mons Officer Cadet School, Aldershot, UK, as a young trainee cadet.

At age 21, Buhari, an ordinary cadet trainee, with no formal education than elementary school leaving certificate and just under one year in the Nigerian Army, with no military training than a trainee cadet, was commissioned Second Lieutenant, and promoted to Platoon Commander 2nd Infantry Brigade, Abeokuta in 1963.

One factor contributed to Mr Buhari rapid commission and promotion in 1963. Violence had broken out in Yorubaland over the imprisonment of Chief Obafemi Awolowo and 21 other Yoruba citizens. They were all sentenced to an average of 10 years imprisonment by the Gambari/Ibo coalition government of Tafawa Balewa and Zik. Yoruba Youths at the time protested on the street of Lagos, Abeoluta, Ibadan, Ilorin and other cities, towns and villages.

Hausa/Fulani and Ibo soldiers, which included Buhari were ‘ordered’ to shoot on sight and within the shortest distance of time, over 14,520 Yoruba citizens had been killed, over 50,000 injured and more than 20,000 houses burnt. Buhari, a 21-year old cadet trainee with no formal training or military experience was thus commissioned and promoted for killing Yoruba citizens.

    • burning spear

At age 23, with no further military training, Buhari was promoted as Commander 2nd Infantry Battalion, 1965-67.

At age 25, yet again, with no formal education or further military training, Buhari was appointed Brigade Major, 2 Sector 1st Infantry Division, 1967.

At age 28, again with no formal education or further military training, Buhari was promoted Brigade Major and Commander, 31st Infantry Brigade, 1970-71.

At age 29, also with no formal education or further military training, Buhari was promoted Assistant Adjutant-General 1st Infantry Division Headquarters, 1971-72.

At age 31, Buhari attended the Defence Services Staff College, Indian, a Military Training School, awarding degrees in Defence and Strategic Studies on a four-year programme. Buhari, however, only attended the college for less than six months in 1973.

At age 34, Buhari, with a military training akin to a Secondary School dropout, was appointed Military Governor, North-Eastern State (now Borno State) and Federal Commissioner for Petroleum and Energy, 1976-78.

At age 39, Buhari, with a military training similar to a Secondary School dropout, was appointed Chairman, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3rd Armored Division, Jos, 1981-83.

At age 42, Buhari with a military training similar to a Secondary School dropout, ousted an elected civilian government through a military coup d’etat and was Head of State and Commander in Chief, Nigerian Armed Forces, 1983-85.

Through nepotism, Buhari, with a primary school education and military training akin to a Secondary School dropout, became Head of State of Nigeria. The Yoruba, the most populated ethnic groups in Nigeria, and the economic backbone of the country, had always been excluded from the presidency of Nigeria. Today, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has been named as Buhari’s deputy. Prof. Osinbajo is a professor of Law with more than 35 years experience. He is a Yoruba but will now serve under Buhari, a Fulani with a primary school education and a man who failed military exams.

The acceptance of Prof. Osinbajo has confirmed the age long thinking that the Yoruba are not only gullible but barbarians. Sambo, the Vice President of Nigeria is a Hausa/Fulani man, yet the Gambari are not satisfied and are using Boko Haram as a means of getting Jonathan out of government, but barbarians Yoruba are happy with Oponu Osinbajo as a Vice President to a Gambar

Just get ready to cast your vote on 28th so that you will be involved in this historic election that will see Jonathan packing back to Otuoke. Nigerians have decided who they will vote. This is why Jonathan looks very angry these days and has been massively bribing Nigerians including CAN, traditional rulers and community leaders. Can you imagine giving CAN 7 billion naira as if the money belong to his family..

          • Philip Musa

There is no propaganda in the fact that the international media has decided to beam the lights on the real buhari. In fact, Richard Grennell also stated that “Buhari even appears to be advocating violence while pushing for the moral and religious code of Sharia Law, according to Grenell. “I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the
Sharia in the country.” Those are buhari’s words, nobody else’s!

          • Philip Musa

Where is Grenell wrong in his assessment of your candidate when he says: “Is this an indication that Mr. Buhari supports violence because the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by leaders of the Obama administration.”

Burning spear or what do you call yourself, you are a liar like your leader Fani-kayode. The figures you are rolling out here are from your head. I am a well educated Yoruba man who reads across disciplines and facets of life and I have not come across these statistics you are bringing out just to denigrate Buhari. All your (e-rats like you, Jonathan, his wife, FFK &Fayose) hate speeches, death wishes, personal attacks, abuses e.t.c cannot change anything at this point. You are just heating up the sysytem. Average Nigerians have decided WHO THEY WILL NOT VOTE FOR over a year ago. Most people have taken their decision from events that have been unfolding since 2010 when GEJ assumed office. Most of these things e.g massive corruption, infrastucture decay and lately Dollar stealing, sharing and distribution upset most Nigerians and they have decided to punish your clueless, weak but eternally corrupt GEJ by voting him out of power. Claim of Buhari not having a High Sch certificate is not true and those peddling it know. A retired Judge has said they were mates and Buhari was the Head Boy. I only pity the Nigerian Army that has aided this falsehood by tampering Buhari’s file with the military (by removing copy of his certificate). When you dig a pit for your enemy it may be you or your friend that will fall into it. My point is that if a General from Nigerian Army now goes for international assignment, they may not want to give him a position of serious responsibility bcos the Nigerian Army itself has bcos of poitics supported the claim that somebody had become a General and even a Head of State without a secondary school certificate. THIS IS VERY SAD. God will deliver Nigeria.

Buhari is finally exposed in the international media. That’s the criminal that the southwest are trying to force down our throats! The APC clowns can’t touch this topic at all. They’re running away from it!!

      • Gaskiya

If you know you are going to win why distributing huge amount of money all over Nigeria? You must be illiterate or confused to cite some foreign media as saying PDP will win. How can Jonathan win? The whole Northeast, Northwest, Northcentral and south-west hate him and will not vote for him. He could not even revisit Northeast, Northwest and Northcentral because he was scared of stoning and bullying. To make matters worst the Yoruba have said only Bastards will vote for Jonathan. So how can he win this election? Is it by rigging which is now impossible due to card readers?

        • Philip Musa

“The West, and specifically the Obama Administration, needs to wake
up to the growing problem,” wrote Grenell. “The Nigerian economy has
been growing faster than South Africa’s. Imagine what Nigeria could do for
Africa if it was also free of Boko Haram’s violence.

          • Gaskiya

You are crazy and need psychiatric help. After Jonathan has squandered all our money in bribing people, where is the economy. BTW he is losing. So let him go so that we can rebuild our economy again. You mentioned Obama. That man is very intelligent and he knows Jonathan much more than you do. He will be very glad if Jonathan loses because Jonathan has been a disgrace to even Obama himself.

          • Philip Musa

The truth is very bitter isn’t it? By the way Grenell also “warned that Nigeria could become “a tipping point” in Africa
in the same way that Tunisia kicked off the Arab Spring in the Middle East. See, even the oyinbo man is making you look like the son of a chimpanzee! Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

          • Gaskiya

I talked with facts on the ground while you refer to one Oyinbo man. Is it not Oyinbo man that went to Ivory coast and arrested Laurent Gbagbo and installed a winner of the election there? The same Oyinbo will arrest Jonathan and install Buhari if Buhari wins and Jonathan refuses to hand over. Just watch.

          • Philip Musa

GEJ will even sweep the votes inside your house. Whether you like it or not! Prepare for the inevitable

          • Gaskiya

I can see you are an entertainer. I hope your sponsors will not refuse to pay you today’s pay-per-post pay, because I have engaged you and given you too much headache. I hope you know that, they are also reading your posts here.

        • Philip Musa

You see, the oyinbo man is too much for you! He says it as it is, while you clutch on straws. Brace yourself for another 4 years of GEJ!

          • Gaskiya

The simple question is how?? The North and southwest will not vote for Jonathan and the registered voters in the whole south-south and south-east combined are not upto even Northwest. To make matters worst for you and your Oga, Imo state, Enugu, Edo and Rivers will not vote for Jonathan for obvious reasons. So where are you going to manufacture votes for Jonathan?

          • Philip Musa

If wishes were horses, buhari will ride! Sorry, but no vacancy at aso rock this time around!! And I cannot fail to point out the fact that you have refused to address the oyibo man’s points against buhari. I wonder why?

          • Gaskiya

Which Oyinbo when you have all the facts on the ground. I think you are delusional. Soon you may manifest neurosis.

          • Philip Musa

I want to see your rebuttals to the points already made. Show some level of intelligence. buhari was quick to run to chatham house to announce himself to the international community. Now the international community is raising serious doubts about him and you cannot address it? Na who send una? I would believe you have your waec certificate unlike your candidate.

          • Gaskiya

So do yourself favour to tell Nigerians because they have made up their minds to vote for Buhari.

          • Philip Musa

…in 2019 you mean. remember, there is NO VACANCY at Aso Rock

    • Clear Water

Richard Grenell has no vote in Nigeria. Stop quoting rubbish.

  • Gaskiya

I can see why Jonathan’s popularity keeps going down which made to resort to massive bribing of Nigerians including CAN, traditional rulers and community leaders. He hires hooligans such as Femi Fani-Kayode and some e-rats to campaign for him instead of decent and well-respected people. Anyway, that is his own problem. After all, that might have helped the opposition in soaring its popularity. Now Jonathan campaigners are just complaining and inviting the western countries to come to their aid. Madness, these countries know how much Jonathan led government has stolen and squandered because most of the stolen money are in their countries. So you think they will support a terribly corrupt government such as yours. Buhari is the answer to Nigerian corruption and he will do it to make all of us proud Nigerians.

    • Philip Musa

You still cannot defend Grenell’s claim that “Buhari has spoken defensively about Boko Haram, even though the evil
group has kidnapped and enslaved hundreds of young girls. And he has been
personally been selected by the terrorists to lead its negotiations with the
      government.”

      • Gaskiya

We have passed the level of your argument more than seven months ago. The point you keep mentioning shows that you have been hired to just post on this extremely weak point. Nigerians from the north and south-west including some south-east and south south states such as Imo, Enugu, Edo and Rivers states are going to massively vote for Buhari and APC. So what is the relevance of Grenell’s claim here? Who even knows what you are talking about? So as I said you are an e-rat just trying to justify the little pay-per-post money you collected from Jonathan men. You are really in a soup.

        • Philip Musa

haha, for every APC voter in the south east / south south, there are 10,000 PDP votes. Take that to the bank!

What is wrong in asking for the support of persons. The president can ask for your support as he is going for an election. I’m sure when you contested you also asked for the support of persons. Even before you joined your current party, people approached you. Nigerians will vote and that is all.

    Nigerian Journalists and APC party

Nigerian journalists; supposed radicals and proto-intellectuals who
lined up to root for APC in this election need to pause and rethink.
It is thing of shame that just a handful of real intellectuals in Nigeria
saw through the APC ruse. I give kudos to those few clear-headed ones.

Well before Richard Grenell spoke in America yesterday or so, those few
clear-headed public intellectuals were consistent since 2014 in saying
that APC is a negative implication for national unity and regional peace.
They even put it crisply: APC is a criminal organization – full of Alhajis –
signifying nothing. I agree with them, just as the rest of the world
now does, from London to Washington D.C.

    • Gaskiya

If you agree with them go round Nigeria and tell people not to vote for APC because people in the North, southwest, Enugu, Imo, Edo and Rivers are ready to vote for APC.

“I will continue to show openly and
inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over
      Nigeria,
” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the
total implementation of the Sharia in the country
      .”

Agitation? Is this an indication that Mr. Buhari supports violence because
the end goal of the terrorist attacks throughout Nigeria and Africa is an
Islamic state? It is a legitimate question that should be asked by
      leaders of the Obama administration.

PDP was NPN and was NPC. Current politics is not suitable to founding fathers of PDP and NPN and Children of NPC. after this election the the founding fathers and the Children of NPC would come back to build it. With the polls closed in Israel, international election observers now turn their attention to the Nigerian elections on March 28. The choice for the leader of Africa’s most populous country pits Goodluck Jonathan from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) against Mohammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The decision by the roughly 73 million registered Nigerian voters could have a profound impact on the future of Africa.

But Western foreign policy observers pre-occupied with the rise of ISIS in the Middle East should wake up to the reality unfolding in Nigeria. Opposition candidate General Buhari wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria. In fact, he wants it everywhere.

“I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria,” Mr. Buhari said. “God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country.”

Boko Haram has pledged its allegiance and support to ISIS. The Northern Nigerian based Islamic terrorist group wants Sharia law throughout Nigeria and beyond. They are also actively terrorizing Chad, Niger and Cameroon with their goal of an Islamic state.

Mr. Buhari has also spoken sympathetically about members of the terrorist group Boko Haram, has cautioned against a rush to judgement on its members and has personally been selected by the terrorist group to lead its negotiations with the Government of Nigeria.  Mr. Buhari’s election as Nigeria’s head of state would be a disaster for Africa. It would also signal trouble for the West’s fight against ISIS and terrorism throughout the Middle East.

    JAMB EXAMS & GOODLUCK JONATHAN.
    by Bayo Adeyinka Lagos.

My brother-in-law wrote the UTME test today and I’m very surprised he got his result texted to him a few minutes ago. Yes, he got his result in less than 9 hours after writing the exam! Not even Nigerian Universities release results this fast!

He explained to me how cheating (read corruption) has been totally eliminated from the exam. Not only is it a Computer Based Test (CBT) but 2 people sitting beside each other and offering the same courses can no longer copy each other because the questions are juxtaposed. Someone’s question 9 can be another person’s question 3 and so on.

Moreover, all candidates for all tertiary institutions ( Polytechnics, Monotechnics and Universities) sit for the same exam- therefore having a form of standardization. That explains why the new name is Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination. This removes the discrimination associated with taking the former Poly Jamb and puts everyone on the same pedestal- irrespective of your eventual choice.

Well said. The Igbos might be very smart to take the money and rebuild what was left of the civil war. They might have resorted to that system because they are marginalised when it comes to provision of government amenities, and that mentality has sunk into their psych. I don’t blame them. Those that think they are wise still lose out in the political scheme and are left desolate. If the politicians cant provide for what you voted for, then take their money and make it available for your self. It is part if political culture. It takes courage to get money out from politicians, only the smarth ones do. So up Igbo’s. Might follow your style.
