Former Vice President and chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar, has said that his commitment to the APC and the success of its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, and other candidates of the party in the 2015 general elections is unwavering and never been up for bargaining.

The former Vice President made the assertion against the backdrop of media reports of his purported return to the fold of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“I remain irrevocably committed to the APC, as I promised in my concession speech at the conclusion of our party’s presidential primaries, and has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of our great party at the general elections,” the former Vice President is quoted to have said.

A statement by the Atiku Media Office in Abuja on Tuesday said that reports of Atiku’s purported return to the PDP or any other party is the handiwork of mischief makers focused on pitching the former Vice President against other leaders of the opposition party.

Atiku said that for the avoidance of doubt he is unequivocally committed to the unity of APC and that it will take more than the antics of mischief makers to break that bond.

Atiku noted that his return from Adamawa, where he convened a meeting and reconciled disagreeing camps within the party, towards ensuring victory for the APC, bears eloquent testimony of this commitment.

The statement reminded that the former Vice President currently supports the financial operations of the APC in many states, in most cases as a sole financier.

“I have backed my words and commitment with my resources to ensure that I bring my influence and support to bear on our party’s march to victory at all levels in the general election. That should be enough to shut up mischief makers bent on derailing the APC’s success at the March 28 and April elections,” he said.

The Atiku Media Office observed that as one of Nigeria’s astute politicians and businessmen, there may be overtures from across political divides to the former Vice President, but restated that Atiku Abubakar has publicly stated his commitment to the APC and has privately rebuffed the approaches from all quarters.

To decamp to another party now is like committing political suicide.

Nobody can deny fact that Alhaji Abubakar Atiku is one of today’s Nigeria best Presidential material … if not the best.

Atiku is the most prepared of all.

Unfortunately, the demon of Ota … Obasanjo gave Atiku false labels which many Nigerians believed …. with that OBJ continued to frustrate Atiku’s good intentions and aspirations aimed at uplifting our beloved country.

Today, we know better ….. Atiku does not deserve the false labels tagged on him by Obasanjo.

My wish is that Goodluck Jonathan will win the 2015 Presidential election and pave way for the likes of Atiku Abubakar to commence their campaign for 2019 effective from March 30, 2015 ( i.e immediately after the declaration of the result of the 2015 Presidential Election)

There is still hope for Atiku Abubakar especially if Jonathan wins in 2015

PDP cannt be this despertate to throw this false info out there. Its obvious that APC has gained so much momentum that it has caused PDP to want Atiku back. They should have treated their members well and not ask for their return after they are gone. Too late.

    Here’s APC’s idea of CHANGE:
Atiku Abubakar (PDP VP for 8 years); Rotimi Amaechi (PDP RVSHA Speaker for 8 years, PDP Governor for 71/2years); Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (PDP Governor for 7 years, PDP Minister for 3 years); Bukola Saraki (PDP Governor for 8 years, PDP Senator for 3 years); Olagunsoye Oyinlola (PDP Governor for 71/2yeras, PDP National Secretary for 13 months), to mention but a few!
Added to these eminent sybarites and registered PDP rejects is a senile, illiterate, certificate forger, perjurer and coup plotter called Buhari.
May God not CHANGE Nigeria from bad to worse.

Evil people congregate together while the good bond in the opposite direction,Atiku is already at home amongst the janjaweedians and so does not have any need to move over to the now reformed PDP

Atiku is unequivocally committed to the unity of the APC and I believe it will take more than the antics of mischief makers to break that bond.
Over the weekend it was all over the news that Atiku was in his home state Adamawa where he convened a stakeholders’ meeting and reconciled disagreeing camps within the party, towards ensuring victory for the APC..
So I believe he is glued to the APC project.

The man has spoken, mischief makers you can now move on to your next victim. Atiku is himself Change, cos he has always been for greater good of this country. #change2015.
