PDP rejects Buhari’s WASC result, says document ‘forged’

Femi Fani-Kayode

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has dismissed the statement of result released by the Government College Katsina, as the University of Cambridge West African Schools Certificate results of Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

At a media briefing Thursday, the PDP said the document released Wednesday by the school was “forged, manipulated and fraudulently procured”.

The Katsina College released the two documents amid intense controversy over Mr. Buhari’s academic qualification as required by the Constitution for a presidential election candidate.

Read below, the PDP’s full statement released by Femi Fani-Kayode, the director media, Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization.

Gentlemen of the Press,

Yesterday, 21st of January, 2014, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Gen Muhammadu Buhari addressed a Press Conference where he attempted to explain the series of controversies surrounding his academic qualifications especially the Secondary School Certificate.

Again, the APC candidate, rather than provide a conclusive proof that he possesses this minimum qualification, went into a session of blame game and shifting of what ordinarily ought to be his personal responsibility as he said and I quote “I have formally requested my old school, Provisional Secondary School Katsina, which is now known as Government College, Katsina, to make available the Schools copy of the result of the Cambridge West African Schools Certificate.”

It is unfortunate that the more Gen Buhari tries to extricate himself from the crisis, the more he stumbles into a new phase in the unfolding narrative of his obvious complicity in a matter that borders on perjury and which has called his avowed integrity to question.

It is quite unfortunate that a few hours after Gen Buhari’s Press conference, some documents appeared on various Media platforms purporting to be the APC candidate’s results released by his old school.

Having carefully studied the statement of Result signed by the “school principal” and an “examination officer” of the Government College, Katsina, as well as the attached document titled University of Cambridge West Africa School Certificate 1961, we wish to make the following observations and comments:

The results sheet which was attributed to the Cambridge examination body is clearly a super imposition of one document on another as you will shortly see in the enlarged image of the result sheet as published. The column lines on the part where names are printed do not align with the blank columns while there is an introduction of extraneous lines on some other columns.

The document contains an obvious alteration on the Mathematics column of the candidate, Mohamed Buhari, who was assumed to have scored an “F” in the subject. This raises a very fundamental issue of validity in view of the fact that the accompanying result sheet states that “any alteration or erasure renders this statement of Results invalid.” This is the standard practice in all interpretation of documents especially academic records. The question we put to Gen Buhari and his party is whether this alteration was done by the University of Cambridge.

One of the footnotes on the document purportedly issued by the University of Cambridge says “the results of this candidate in all subjects except English Language have been carried forward from the 1960 examination.” The question arising from this is: When exactly did Buhari sit for all the other subjects claimed to have been passed in the Secondary School Examination?

Our conclusion from all these is that the documents purportedly released by Government College (Pilot) Katsina, upon which the APC Presidential candidates hopes to bury the doubt about his eligibility for next month’s election are forged, manipulated and fraudulently procured. They are therefore untenable in fact and in law.

We do not know who the authors and masterminds of this forgery are but whoever they are, we urge them to come forward and be identified.

If they fail to come forward voluntarily, we hereby call on the Police and other security Agencies to seek them out, find them, arrest them, interrogate them and prosecute them in accordance with the laws of the land.

We reiterate our call on Gen Buhari to submit himself to the police to answer charges of perjury, having lied on oath about his academic qualifications. This is what a man who claims to represent integrity and due process ought to do in this situation.

    QUESTION FROM AN ORDINARY NIGERIAN

If it was so easy for Buhari to obtain a copy from the school why did he go to swear an affidavit and why did he not approach the school since November when the scandal blew open ?

    • BREAKING NEWS

Nobody is afraid of a certificate forger whose place is in jail.

You will surely weep as you watch Buhari take his place in jail …… it is only a matter of days not weeks.

  • tyson

The documents sent to Nigerian Online platforms by the APC presidential candidate, Pa Muhammadu Buhari has being authoritatively confirmed to Fake and described as an unintelligently produced papers, called school certificate.

The nearly two months pressure on Buhari to produce his school certificate, has finally lead the 73 years old former Nigerian military dictator and his foreign Public Relation firm, cooking up a “certificate”, that have no link with WAEC or the Cambridge University, the organiser of the 1961 examination.

From records recovered from the United Kingdom elite University, Hausa Language is not among the examinable Cambridge University subjects in 1961. Yoruba is the only Nigerian language that Nigerian students can sit in the Cambridge examination and Buhari’s adding Hausa Language as one the subjects that he passed, is another case of worry to Nigerians.

Muhammadu Buhari has been proved to be lying to Nigerians about his certificate issue. He lied on the Affidavit he declared in the court that his certificates are with the Nigerian Military. The army chiefs have revealed that Buhari was lying.
It is only in Nigeria, that Employers are custodian of their employee’s certificates.

Buhari have no school certificate to present to INEC and Nigerians and that made him short of meeting the minimum requirement for contesting for the position of the President of Nigeria as in the Electoral act, amended in 2011. This requirement was not present in 2003, 2007 and 2011 Presidential election and that was the reason no one bothered about Buhari’s credentials.

Buhari as at now should know the best action to take save his already damaged personal or integrity. For Buhari’s supporters, the GAME is over. Buhari have no other lie to tell to Nigerians. He have lied to Nigerians for Nearly 50 years and his cup overflowed yesterday.
The Nigerian army should as a matter of urgency, start the process of retrieving the Major General rank from him and forcing him to refund all the Salaries and Pension, he has received from the government for his period in serve and Pension era.
A MAN THAT SHOUT CHANGE, MUST CHANGE HIMSELF FIRST.

    God Have Saved Nigerians

  • Wähala

Fani-Kayode is under the influence of controlled substances, he is supposed to be a lawyer for God’s sake…
Eye-scrolling through this entire gibberish shows he has forgotten all about the Constitution in his reverie with hard drugs, hahaha! Anyone interested should check out §318 of Naija Constitution paying special attention to sub-section 3 (a)(c) to learn what Fani-oloja has since forgotten. Clown. Since when has he become Olisa Metuh for the PDP, I thought his part in their division-of-labor is to blow the vuvuzela for PDP Campaign? Let their Party lawyers go to court if Fani is not just grandstanding for kudi… claiming he’s earning it. Meanwhile, FFK should call on Dasuki to explain himself over his comments in London about postponing the general elections… that more to Fani’s calling than whistling thru his ahss. Olshi… oponu !!!

    • BREAKING NEWS

We are not talking about constitution here …… we are talking about perjury and forgery committed by Nigerian Army Private Muhammadu Buhari of the APC ……. I hope you get it.

        • BREAKING NEWS

By the way Shehu Yar’Adua joined the Army in 1959 …….. how come he is taking WASC with Buhari in 1961 …….. my conclusion is that Buhari’s forgery is simply too idioooootic.

          • Wähala

            Deri,
I don’t have time for your reverse logic right now, I’m busy… Go to court and prove your case biko!

Coomasie and Justice Umaru Abdullahi had testified to the fact that they classmates to both Buhari and Yar’adua as claimed by Buhari himself. These guys are alive and kicking. Is that one a lie too?In any case what does it cost any interested party to confirm from Cambridge?

          • BREAKING NEWS

The fact that they are his so called classmates does not mean that Buhari wrote WASC examination with them.

          • Jika

But they equally confirmed that they wrote the exams together! !!! I am sure Cambridge will oblige you if you request for any information on Buhari.I don’t think it cost much to do that.Just an email enquiry will suffice.I humbly suggest you try that sir.

You are asking too much of them.

Even the 4kd up vuvuzela, if he was compos mentis, should know that cases like these are taken to court if they believe their own shaite!

But of course, they are only throwing shaite in the hope some might stick on GMB.

“Let them say”, as KSA would sing.

  • Nic2929

I said this 2 weeks ago, based on my discussion with my uncle who is a power broker in Nigerian politics, there will not be an election come February. Even if there is one, it will be inconclusive. A lot of the so called “big men” in Nigeria have moved to Abuja to work on this. Pls no one should attack me, I am just sharing a real certified info with u all. The first phase has started with the NSA speech today….it is to taste the waters to see how Niger people will take it…,.,second phase is: prominent Nigerians and pastors bankrolled by GEJ team. Buhari will never rule Nigeria, which is a shame! I am just interested to see how all these play out.

    • Mubarak Ahmad

There will be war if this happens. Nigeria will burn to the ground. I don’t think people really understand the lengths to which people are fed up with the PDP. Elections will hold and if they dont hold chances are the masses will revolt and invade the Villa.

      • BREAKING NEWS

War is surely what Nigerian needs now ……. because one thing will surely happen if war breaks out ….. Nigeria will be fragmented and that will end domination by the Northern Muslim Hausa-Fulani ….. bring it on.

What National Conference cannot achieve ….. war will easily achieve it.

      • Nic2929

Who will fight, u? My brother there will be violence for 2 -3wks max, after that NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, I assure u. The big men will solve their problems in the backyard, take a contract and keep quiet.

        • Mubarak Ahmad

You seem to be forgetting that there are certain things that people will never acquiesce to. Do you remember Obasanjo’s third term shenanigans? When people get fed up of something they react. This issue of no elections in February is a non starter.

          • Nic2929

You think these big men think like u and I? Mark my words today, look for me come feb 16th, u will give me hand for my infos

    • growthengine

Chinese proverb/curse: May you live in interesting times. Popular is not necessarily positive?

      • Jika

I think you are right.Definitely popular may not necessarily be positive.A classical example is GEJ in 2011 and what he turned out to be today.

        • growthengine

Hahahah, nice one. :-), but we have a subject here.

          • Jika

Yeah you are right. We have a subject here. The only thing though, is that the subject here can’t be discussed in isolation of the other subject.I believe you get my drift.

          • growthengine

We are all a bit disappointed, but GMB is not a better alternative. He has not been straightforward with this certificate thing, this is how he will handle matters of state.

          • cattle rancher

            You need schooling…

          • Jika

My humble opinion is that, there is more to this certificate issue than meets the eye.My simple reason is that if the PDP are genuinely convinced that this guy did not have the certificate as claimed by him, they would have taken a more definitive action than this show of public display. If the results that have been submitted were forged, I assure you that the ‘lesser mortals’ involved in issuing the results i. e the principal and the exam officer would have been the guests of the security agencies.Secondly, the Army that claims that they don ‘t have the guys’certificates is the same Army that sometimes ago said they had found the Chibok girls. Thirdly, the same people who were circulating a fake medical report on Buhari are the ones who are at the forefront of this certificate issue . Finally, all that is needed to reduce corruption in this country, is a leader whose antecedents and body language does not seem to support/condone corruption. God bless.

      • emmy

Then we shall see come Feb 14. Ass hole.

All documents concerning Buhari to date bear Mohammadu including the testimonial issued by his principal in 1961 and his hand written application to join the army. So who is this Mohammed buhari, whose result Mohammadu buhari is parading. Also the late Yar ardua joined the army in 1959, so he could have written waec with Mohammed buhari in 1961

Shame @ you suleiman. That you still have brain to write rubbish in favor of Buhari the “perjury” after all this scandals shows how backward you are in life. That you’re still defending a presidential bearer of a great party like APC who forged a certificate is a pure madness. You better change that name “suleiman”, it belongs to people with great wisdom.

      • Salisu Suleiman

Bigger shame on you. They stole $20 billion and gave you a bag of rice and you’re here talking rubbish.

  • Dankasa

But he ruled Nigeria when you Nic2929 was a kid so he has entered World History as onetime Nigerian Head of State and mind you Buhari want to salvage your ass from these predators unless you are one of them or are from their blood. it is not about him becoming President to steal or promote hater as circulated by Jona but to set the country on the right direction, he was a Head of State and nothing can erase that in our history.

    • Nic2929

He will not rule again, that’s what I mean. Ps: no one is saving my ass, I am a Nigerian and a Canadian citizen. I live in Canada.

      • Jika

You are definitely entitled to your opinion.Where you live is immaterial. What matters in my humble opinion,is for all of us to canvass our opinions and forget about using some definitive statements such as ‘never again’.To me,that amounts to playing God which I believe is not a wise thing.God bless.

        • Nic2929

You are right @never again. But truly, the odds are seriously against Buhari base on my source, it will amount to the head of a cow passing thru the eye of a needle.

          • Jika

I concede to you that you have your sources which may/may not necessarily be correct. As someone who is currently in Nigeria,I can tell you that the preponderance of people from the Norh West,North East and South West, will go for Buhari, while those from the South East,South South will go for Jonathan and the North Central is neither here nor there. My humble opinion is that this election is going to be tight.May we have a peaceful election.

          • Nic2929

I want what u want too, even tho I don’t agree with ur zonal calculations, you forget to factor in the power on the Nigerian incumbency. If you solve math like that you will fail ur exam.

          • Jika

Undoubtedly the power of incumbency is vital here as in any other election. But then you should realise that there is so much that you can play with the incumbency factor beyond which you can’t do any more!!! You may wish to do a further check on my zonal postulation and, I assure you any discerning observer will tell you something similar to what I wrote. On the lighter side, I want to assure you that I have never failed my Maths exams and I am not planning to start at this stage of my life.

            EL RUFAI ON BUHARI

El Rufai: Buhari Should Stick To Facts

            by Muyiwa Adekeye

            Sahara Reporters, Oct 04, 2010

The attention of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been drawn to statements from Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida purporting to be responses to the advice he gave both men to retire.

Since Babangida libelled whole generations of Nigerian youth as being unfit for leadership, age has become an issue in the coming elections. While it is true that neither youth nor age supplies wisdom on their own, it makes sense to ask those who have been
recurring decimals in our country’s sorry history to leave the stage. That is all El-Rufai asked of these men who seem to think that their failure to do their best for Nigeria when they had the chance qualifies them for a return to office. Our people surely deserve better.

El-Rufai is amazed that General Buhari cannot debate this matter without scurrying to the gutter, making claims that are baseless and unsupported by any facts. Mallam El-Rufai’s tenure as FCT minister was a period of stellar performance in remaking our federal
capital. Despite the difficult decisions that had to be taken to restore Abuja, Mallam El-Rufai continues to receive deserved praise and recognition for his achievements in restoring the Abuja master plan, introducing Nigeria’s first computerised land registry and helping thousands of Nigerians achieve their dreams of home ownership in the federal capital. Buhari is perhaps one of a tiny few blinded by their prejudice from recognising the quality of El Rufai’s service.

That same prejudice accounts for the baseless claims of corruption Buhari levels against El Rufai. The fact is that Mallam El-Rufai served Nigeria with integrity and has never been
convicted of any corrupt act. He is boldly contesting the false charges which the Yar’Adua government filed against him in court. It is strange that a Buhari who protests when unproven claims of N2.5 billion (about US $3billion in those days!) missing oil funds are levelled against him can gleefully elevate similar claims into facts when it concerns another. How would Buhari feel if the corruption allegations made against him by Group Captain Usman Jibrin, then a board member of PTF, are today reported as if they were proven facts? So much for “corrupt background” and “shoddy performance”.

Mallam El-Rufai wishes to remind General Buhari that he has remained perpetually unelectable because his record as military head of state, and afterwards, is a warning that many Nigerians have wisely heeded. His insensitivity to Nigeria’s diversity and his parochial focus are already well-known. In 1984, Buhari allowed 53 suitcases belonging to his ADC’s father to enter Nigeria unchecked at a time the country was exchanging old currency for new. Against all canons of legal decency, he used retroactive laws to execute three young men for drug-peddling after they were convicted by a military tribunal and not regular courts of law. Buhari was so high handed that he gave himself and his officials immunity even from truthful reporting. That obnoxious Decree 4, against which truth was no defence, was used to jail journalists and attempt to cow the media as a whole.
That tyrannical legislation shows the essence of his intolerance. These are facts of recent history.

The story of counter-trade and import licensing, the cornerstone of Buhari’s stone-age economic strategy and those whose interests it served, is a tale for another day.

Mallam El-Rufai respects both Generals Buhari and Babangida as elder statesmen. He believes their age, experience and guidance may contribute to the success of any future government. El-Rufai however believes that it is time for a new generation of leaders with
new thinking and wholesome democratic attitude to move our nation forward. The vicious response by the Buhari camp to a simple statement that their almost-70 principal should retire is proof enough that a Buhari, the new Democrat, tolerant of views different from his own, is yet to evolve. And that is sad, for his fledgling party and its leadership. Buhari and his cohorts may wish to reflect that it will take more than attacks on personalities to become electable. Having seen his version of discipline, Nigerians are not likely to cherish an encore. But they will welcome an engagement with the issues and problems of everyday life that have hobbled the peoples of this land.

Keep quiet for there. When a sinner confesses his sins and repents completely from such vices, s/he is forgiven and all the past sins are forgotten.

The fact that Fani waited for Ojokwu to die and be buried before that slip of tongue that led to the statement is sufficient pointer to the the fact that his comments were mere misguided mischief. But Fani has been washed clean and like Paul has become a beautiful bride with a mandate to preach the gospel to all nations in continent Nigeria.

Salvation is a personal choice. Think of how to remove the log in your eyes and not fret over that of a brethren. When we told you yesterday of the obvious super imposition, una say na lie. Today everything don SHOW. The triumph of evil over good can only be ephemeral.

University of Port Harcourt says they awarded him a PhD, they have not denied that. Let Buhari tell Cambridge University, “My people are doubting me, please send me a CTC of my CERTIFICATEfor the world to see !

Mark you, he is coming to correct the corruption and ills of Jonathan, will he do himself good by saying, as you put in his mouth here, “I am coming with filthy hands, after Jonathan I will replace is equally filthy ? No. We must hold Buhari to his standard – under his time, he made cheating in WAEC exam and all forms exam malpractice to attract Life Imprisonment to any kid involved.

          • Kay Soyemi (Esq.)

So you admit that GEJ’s “Doctorate” is on the same pedestal as those procured and used by Fuji Megastars?

Why does he not call himself, Professor, Master, Doctor Goodluck in that case?

This is a clear case of fraud.

He claimed it as an academic achievement not a Honorary Award.

In so far as the awarding institution acknowledges the award.

King Romeo, go to court. Stop blabbing. FFK and GEJ know what to do if they are not just going against the pledge they made to keep their campaign issue based. They know where the courts are and even control the judiciary. Why are they afraid to go to court and seek for our beloved GMB’ disqualification? Nonentities.

    • solozo

Can we differentiate between certificate and statement of result? If we cannot make this distinction, how can we even know what is forged or not forged? And even if it is forged, what is holding the PDP with all the apparatus of state at their disposal from going to court to get the man disqualified? Why is it so difficult for PDP to base their campaign on something other than Buhari’s certificate? Coomaise and the former President of the Court of Appeal are all lying. The picture of Buhari in uniform is a lie. PDP has all the answers and everything figured out yet they cannot go to court? Give to PDP, their strategy is lovely -frustrate Buhari with silly accusations or get the election postponed. Desperation is really setting in. Why did this not come up in 2011? And to think that they are incumbents.

This issue of certificate is bullsheet to me, even if buhari presents a hospital card,we in the northeast will give him 100% of our votes bcos we know that he can protect us from this conspiracy called insurgency in our area that GEJs men are using t.o enrich themselves

What I dont really understand is that last week u said he has no results, then he produced a result and then including proof he attended the school, you came out and said he forged them. I dont get….how did u know he forged them. For me this is a sign kf desperation with the PDP to distract us from the main issue. Cambridge is still existing till today is you doubt the authenticity just write to them and am sure thwy are not as incompetent as our agencies, they shud replied with what u fill is authentic. But for sumone to post sumtin and then u said is fake and then u not heading to court to proof u are right is to me a mark of alter desperation.

    • Okey

Cambridge CANNOT avail a 3rd party another person’s result or profile without an accompanying authorization from the candidate, in this case, Gen. Buhari. You do not wonder why Buhari is dodging from requesting Cambridge to avail him a CTC of his certificate, if truly he doesn’t know where the original is ?

            The Crimes of Buhari-Wole Soyinka

THE NIGERIAN NATION AGAINST GENERAL BUHARI

            By Wole Soyinka

            Sahara Reporters
            Jan 14, 2007

            This intervention has been provoked,
not so much by the ambitions of General Buhari to return to power at the head of a democratic Nigeria,
as by declarations of support from directions that leave one totally
dumbfounded. It would appear that some, myself among them, had been
overcomplacent about the magnitude of an ambition that seemed as preposterous
as the late effort of General Ibrahim Babangida to aspire yet again to the
honour of presiding over a society that truly seeks a democratic future.
What one had dismissed was a rash of illusions, brought about by other
political improbabilities that surround us, however, is being given an air of
plausibility by individuals and groupings to which one had earlier attributed a
sense of relevance of historic actualities. Recently, I published an article in
the media, invoking the possible recourse to psychiatric explanation for some
of the incongruities in conduct within national leadership. Now, to tell the
truth, I have begun to seriously address the issue of which section of society
requires the services of a psychiatrist. The contest for a seizure of
rationality is now so polarized that I am quite reconciled to the fact it could
be those of us on this side, not the opposing school of thought that ought to
declare ourselves candidates for a lunatic asylum. So be it. While that
decision hangs in the balance however, the forum is open. Let both sides
continue to address our cases to the electorate, but also prepare to submit
            ourselves for psychiatric examination.

            The
time being so close to electoral decision, we can understand the haste of some
to resort to shortcuts. In the process however, we should not commit the error
of opening the political space to any alternative whose curative touch to
national afflictions have proven more deadly than the disease. In order
to reduce the clutter in our options towards the forthcoming elections, we urge
a beginning from what we do know, what we have undergone, what millions can
verify, what can be sustained by evidence accessible even to the school pupil,
the street hawker or a just-come visitor from outer space. Leaving Buhari aside
for now, I propose a commencing exercise that should guide us along the path of
elimination as we examine the existing register of would-be president. That
initial exercise can be summed up in the following speculation: “If it were
possible for Olusegun Obasanjo, the actual incumbent, to stand again for
election, would you vote for him?”

            If
the answer is “yes”, then of course all discussion is at an end. If the answer
is ‘No’ however, then it follows that a choice of a successor made by Obasanjo
should be assessed as hovering between extremely dangerous and an outright kiss
of death. The degree of acceptability of such a candidate should also be
inversely proportionate to the passion with which he or she is promoted by the
would-be ‘godfather’. We do not lack for open evidence about Obasanjo’s passion
in this respect. From Lagos to the USA, he has taken great pains to assure the
nation and the world that the anointed NPN presidential flag bearer is
guaranteed, in his judgment, to carry out his policies. Such an
endorsement/anointment is more than sufficient, in my view, for public
acceptance or rejection. Yar’Adua’s candidature amounts to a terminal kiss from
a moribund regime. Nothing against the person of this – I am informed –
personable governor, but let him understand that in addition to the direct
source of his emergence, the PDP, on whose platform he stands, represents the
most harrowing of this nation’s nightmares over and beyond even the horrors of
the Abacha regime. If he wishes to be considered on his own merit, now is time
for him, as well as others similarly enmeshed, to exercise the moral courage
that goes with his repudiation of that party, a dissociation from its past, and
a pledge to reverse its menacing future. We shall find him an alternative
platform on which to stand, and then have him present his credentials along
those of other candidates engaged in forging a credible opposition alliance.
Until then, let us bury this particular proposition and move on to a far
graver, looming danger, personified in the history of General
            Buhari.

The grounds on which General Buhari
is being promoted as the alternative choice are not only shaky, but pitifully
naive. History matters. Records are not kept simply to assist the
weakness of memory, but to operate as guides to the future. Of course, we know
that human beings change. What the claims of personality change or
transformation impose on us is a rigorous inspection of the evidence, not
wishful speculation or behind-the-scenes assurances. Public offence, crimes
against a polity, must be answered in the public space, not in caucuses of
bargaining. In Buhari, we have been offered no evidence of the sheerest
prospect of change. On the contrary, all evident suggests that this is one
individual who remains convinced that this is one ex-ruler that the nation
            cannot call to order.

Buhari – need one remind anyone – was
one of the generals who treated a Commission of Enquiry, the Oputa Panel, with unconcealed disdain. Like
Babangida and Abdusalami, he refused to put in appearance even though
complaints that were tabled against him involved a career of gross abuses of
power and blatant assault on the fundamental human rights of the Nigerian
            citizenry.

            Prominent against these charges was
an act that amounted to nothing less than judicial murder, the execution of a
citizen under a retroactive decree. Does Decree 20 ring a bell? If not, then,
perhaps the names of three youths – Lawal Ojuolape (30), Bernard
Ogedengbe (29) and Bartholomew Owoh (26) do. To put it quite plainly, one of
those three – Ogedengbe – was executed for a crime that did not carry a capital
forfeit at the time it was committed. This was an unconscionable crime, carried
out in defiance of the pleas and protests of nearly every sector of the
Nigerian and international community – religious, civil rights, political,
trade unions etc. Buhari and his sidekick and his partner-in-crime, Tunde
Idiagbon persisted in this inhuman act for one reason and one reason only: to
place Nigerians on notice that they were now under an iron, inflexible rule,
            under governance by fear.

            The execution of that youthful
innocent – for so he was, since the punishment did not exist at the time of
commission – was nothing short of premeditated murder, for which the
perpetrators should normally stand trial upon their loss of immunity. Are we
truly expected to forget this violation of our entitlement to security as
provided under existing laws? And even if our sensibilities have become blunted
by succeeding seasons of cruelty and brutality, if power itself had so
coarsened the sensibilities also of rulers and corrupted their judgment, what
should one rightly expect after they have been rescued from the snare of power”
At the very least, a revaluation, leading hopefully to remorse, and its
expression to a wronged society. At the very least, such a revaluation should
engender reticence, silence. In the case of Buhari, it was the opposite.
Since leaving office he has declared in the most categorical terms that he had
no regrets over this murder and would do so again.

Human life is inviolate. The right to
life is the uniquely fundamental right on which all other rights are based. The
crime that General Buhari committed against the entire nation went further
however, inconceivable as it might first appear. That crime is one of the most
            profound
negations of civic being. Not content with hammering down the freedom of
expression in general terms, Buhari specifically forbade all public discussion
of a return to civilian, democratic rule. Let us constantly applaud our media –
those battle scarred professionals did not completely knuckle down. They
resorted to cartoons and oblique, elliptical references to sustain the people’s
campaign for a time-table to democratic rule. Overt agitation for a democratic
time table however remained rigorously suppressed – military dictatorship, and
a specifically incorporated in Buhari and Idiagbon was here to stay. To deprive
a people of volition in their own political direction is to turn a nation into
a colony of slaves. Buhari enslaved the nation. He gloated and gloried in a
master-slave relation to the millions of its inhabitants. It is astonishing to
find that the same former slaves, now free of their chains, should clamour to
be ruled by one who not only turned their nation into a slave plantation, but
forbade them any discussion of their
            condition.

So Tai Solarin is already forgotten?
Tai who stood at street corners, fearlessly distributing leaflets that took up
the gauntlet where the media had dropped it. Tai who was incarcerated by that
regime and denied even the medication for his asthmatic condition? Tai did not
ask to be sent for treatment overseas; all he asked was his traditional
medicine that had proved so effective after years of struggle with asthma!

Nor must we omit the manner of Buhari
coming to power and the pattern of his ‘corrective’ rule. Shagari’s NPN had
already run out of steam and was near universally detested – except of course
by the handful that still benefited from that regime of profligacy and rabid
fascism. Responsibility for the national condition lay squarely at the door of
the ruling party, obviously, but against whom was Buhari’s coup staged? Judging
by the conduct of that regime, it was not against Shagari’s government but
against the opposition. The head of government, on whom primary responsibility
lay, was Shehu Shagari. Yet that individual was kept in cozy house detention in
Ikoyi while his powerless deputy, Alex Ekwueme, was locked up in Kiri-kiri
prisons. Such was the Buhari notion of equitable apportionment of guilt and/or
            responsibility.

And then the cascade of escapes of
the wanted, and culpable politicians. Manhunts across the length and breadth of
the nation, roadblocks everywhere and borders tight as steel zip locks.
            Lo and
behold, the chairman of the party, Chief
Akinloye, strolled out coolly across the border. Richard Akinjide, Legal Protector of the ruling
party, slipped out with equal ease. The Rice Minister, Umaru Dikko, who
declared that Nigerians were yet to eat from dustbins – escaped through the
same airtight dragnet. The clumsy attempt to crate him home was punishment for
his ingratitude, since he went berserk when, after waiting in vain, he
concluded that the coup had not been staged, after all, for the immediate
consolidation of the party of extreme right-wing vultures, but for the military
            hyenas.

            The case of the overbearing
Secretary-General of the party, Uba Ahmed, was even more noxious. Uba Ahmed was
out of the country at the time. Despite the closure of the Nigerian airspace,
he compelled the pilot of his plane to demand special landing permission, since
his passenger load included the almighty Uba Ahmed. Of course, he had not known
of the change in his status since he was airborne. The delighted airport
commandant, realizing that he had a much valued fish swimming willingly into a
waiting net, approved the request. Uba Ahmed disembarked into the arms of a
military guard and was promptly clamped in detention. Incredibly, he
vanished a few days after and reappeared in safety overseas. Those whose
memories have become calcified should explore the media coverage of that saga.
Buhari was asked to explain the vanished act of this much prized quarry and his
response was one of the most arrogant levity. Coming from one who had shot his
way into power on the slogan of ‘dis’pline’, it was nothing short of
            impudent.

            Shall we revisit the tragicomic
series of trials that landed several politicians several lifetimes in prison?
Recall, if you please, the ‘judicial’ processes undergone by the septuagenarian
Chief Adekunle Ajasin. He was arraigned and tried before Buhari’s
punitive tribunal but acquitted. Dissatisfied, Buhari ordered his re-trial.
Again, the Tribunal could not find this man guilty of a single crime, so once
again he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of
corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief Ajasin thereby released? No! He was
ordered detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of winning an election and
refusing to knuckle under Shagari’s reign of terror.

The conduct of the Buhari regime
after his coup was not merely one of double, triple, multiple standards but a
cynical travesty of justice. Audu Ogbeh, currently chairman of the Action
Congress was one of the few figures of rectitude within the NPN. Just as he has
done in recent times with the PDP, he played the role of an internal critic and
reformer, warning, dissenting, and setting an example of probity within his
ministry. For that crime he spent months in unjust incarceration. Guilty by
association? Well, if that was the motivating yardstick of the administration
of the Buhari justice, then it was most selectively applied. The utmost
severity of the Buhari-Idiagbon justice was especially reserved either for the
opposition in general, or for those within the ruling party who had showed the
sheerest sense of responsibility and patriotism.

Shall I remind this nation of
Buhari’s deliberate humiliating treatment of the Emir of Kano and the Oni of
Ife over their visit to the state of Israel? I hold no brief for traditional
rulers and their relationship with governments, but insist on regarding them as
entitled to all the rights, privileges and responsibilities of any Nigerian
citizen. This royal duo went to Israel on their private steam and private
business. Simply because the Buhari regime was pursuing some antagonistic
foreign policy towards Israel, a policy of which these traditional rulers were
not a part, they were subjected on their return to a treatment that could only
be described as a head masterly chastisement of errant pupils. Since when, may
one ask, did a free citizen of the Nigerian nation require the permission
of a head of state to visit a foreign nation that was willing to offer that
            tourist a visa.?

One is only too aware that some
Nigerians love to point to Buhari’s agenda of discipline as the shining jewel
in his scrap-iron crown. To inculcate discipline however, one must lead by
example, obeying laws set down as guides to public probity. Example speaks
louder than declarations, and rulers cannot exempt themselves from the
disciplinary strictures imposed on the overall polity, especially on any issue
that seeks to establish a policy for public well-being. The story of the
thirty something suitcases – it would appear that they were even closer to
fifty – found unavoidable mention in my recent memoirs, YOU MUST SET FORTH AT DOWN,
written long before Buhari became spoken of as a credible candidate. For
the exercise of a changeover of the national currency, the Nigerian borders –
air, sea and land – had been shut tight. Nothing was supposed to move in or
            out, not even cattle egrets.

Yet a prominent camel was allowed
through that needle’s eye. Not only did Buhari dispatch his aide-de-camp,
Jokolo – later to become an emir – to facilitate the entry of those
cases, he ordered the redeployment – as I later discovered – of the Customs
Officer who stood firmly against the entry of the contravening baggage. That
officer, the incumbent Vice-president is now a rival candidate to Buhari, but
has somehow, in the meantime, earned a reputation that totally contradicts his
conduct at the time. Wherever the truth lies, it does not redound to the
credibility of the dictator of that time, General Buhari whose word was law,
but whose allegiances were clearly negotiable.

My good friend Abubakar tundemash, I am sorry for you. I see how you are working hard to defend a corrupt certificate forger. You have a lot of work to do. Many in your group have abandoned him leaving you to do the dirty work alone. By now the blog would have been filled with hordes of APC e-rats. Where are the rest? Are you the last man standing to defend the corrupt man?

        EL RUFAI ON BUHARI

El Rufai: Buhari Should Stick To Facts

        by Muyiwa Adekeye

        Sahara Reporters, Oct 04, 2010

The attention of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has been drawn to statements from Generals Muhammadu Buhari and Ibrahim Babangida purporting to be responses to the advice he gave both men to retire.

Since Babangida libeled whole generations of Nigerian youth as being unfit for leadership, age has become an issue in the coming elections. While it is true that neither youth nor age supplies wisdom on their own, it makes sense to ask those who have been recurring decimals in our country’s sorry history to leave the stage.

Mallam El-Rufai’s tenure as FCT minister was a period of stellar performance in remaking our federal capital.

The fact is that Mallam El-Rufai served Nigeria with integrity and has never been convicted of any corrupt act.

El-Rufai however believes that it is time for a new generation of leaders with new thinking and wholesome democratic attitude to move our nation forward.

      • tundemash

Does that prevent u from going to court with your evidence ?

        • growthengine

Lol. The court will throw out that certificate. It has been over doctored.

          • tundemash

So go ahead and go to court instead of jabbing the air on the internet while obviously FeBuhari 14th is here and Buhari wins which is the reason PDP is jittery !

  • annasuku

Who doesn’t know that PDP instigated army to remove GMB certificate from his file in order to make it a campaign issue. The hulaballoo about GBM certificate by PDP agents is to distract him from campaigning to Nigerians on what he will do to the epidemic corruption, collapsing economy and unprecedented insecurity in our land. Am happy GMB is not allowing this and other cooked matters by PDP to distract him. The more these negative propaganda against GMB, the more the yearnings of the vast majority of Nigerians for him to become our president come Feb 14. Those that will vote for GMB have already made up their mind, and no amount of propaganda can change this. Failure of this negative propaganda to work on the vast majority of Nigerians has informed the call by the PDP, through the NSA, to call for postponement of Feb election. Let them continue to deceive themselves, all agents of PDP will soon meet their waterloo come Feb 14

    • Okey

Yes, and prevented Buhari to be dodging from asking Cambridge directly to send a CTC of his record. Rather PDP directed him to Katsina Ministry of Education. This PDP self ?

      • tundemash

why are PDP afraid of taking their evidences to court to get Buhari disqualified ?????

        • Okey

They know their hands are thoroughly dirty. As soon as INEC asked any aggrieved Nigeria to approach to court to stop the certificate forgers, the Chairman of the judiciary staff union, a Hausa/Fulani, declared a national strike action.

        • Okey

          Let him just ask.

      • tundemash

why are PDP afraid of taking their evidences to court to get Buhari disqualified ?????

      • Jika

The onus of proof lies with the accuser.Simply put, if you claim I steal, kill, forge, rape or kill, you need to provide incontrovertible evidence that I did it.For me ,my simple defense before the law is that, I didn’t do anything you are accusing me of.In my opinion, it is not enough for PDP to mouth that Buhari forged any document, they need to provide forensic or indisputable evidence that he did that.Or, better still, they should go to court and prove their allegations. That is my humble opinion.

        • Otile

There shouldn’t be any onus to prove in this case. When you see a badly forged certificate you know it. What APC is showing here is ridiculous.

Simply show a genuine copy from Cambridge everybody will see it. Apparently the Katsina school is very clumsy in forging certificates.

  • djay

Before, Pdp is not expected to accept the result as it’s part of their propaganda but I have great news for them, Pdp can either go to court which I know they won’t or they go to HELL.

    • Abdul

The courts are on APC induced strikes!

      • Abdul

Really? they blame everybody but themselves. PDP cant even obey simple court verdict. Judiciary is on strike because they must be independent. Let PDP led govt obey the court verdict and lets see if the courts will not be open.

Blame blame PDP, they still blame other when they refuse to do what is right.

  • solozo

Becoming clearer by the day that PDP has two strategies for the Feb14 elections -try to frustrate Buhari out of the race with all manner of silly accusations or get the elections postponed till they are able to put their acts together. If they have credible evidence that Mr Buhari forged anything, why is it so difficult for them to go to court as the electoral laws provide? Afterall the courts are even under their control at the moment. Yam and knife dey una hand, una dey shout make dem come cut this yam put for pot o. No be una hand e dey? Yeye dey smell jare

ATTENTION – Comptroller General of PRISONS!!!!!

The comptroller General of Kirikiri prisons should prepare a prison cell for Bokohari. He should also relocate all inmates who are confirmed hardened criminals to that section of the prison where Mallam will spend the rest of his life…and if there is no space, they can transfer him to Kuje prisons or Alagbon. If there is no space in these maximum prisons, then a prisoner with lesser crime than forgery & perjury shud be set free.

    BOLA TINUBU IS HERO

    1. BURIED IBB – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (the great Jagaban) working together with NADECO forced IBB down …. to rise no more.

    2. CAGED OBJ – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (the great Jagaban) caged Obasanjo politically and
confined him to his Ota farm with his political wings severely clipped in the
    South West.

    3. DESTROYED BUHARI – Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (the great Jagaban) has now brutally destroyed Buhari by hanging perjury and forgery on Buhari’s neck.

Now that Asiwaju have successfully and single-handely eliminated all the big Army Generals troubling Nigeria we call on Asiwaju to take the next courageous great step forward by replacing Buhari as our Candidate for 2015 … nothing less will do.

Long live Asiwaju Bola Tinubu (the great Jagaban).

FRAUD ALERT!!!! (What we need in Niger Delta is clean up of our waters, not warships)

The seeming fraud perpetrated by the United State is even worse than the certificate forgery by Bokohari.

Between March 2011 and January 2015, The US has sent 3 war ships to Nigeria ‘FREE’ of charge. This represents an approximate 1 warship every year. But the same US will not sell attack helicopters to Nigerian govt to fight terrorists. Why is US giving Nigeria warships when there is no war in the Atlantic ocean or Nigeria’s sea borders? Why? Is it that US cares more of its investments than lives of Nigerians killed by Boko haram?

….and our so-called ground breaking and rock breaking online media houses have not come up with even half an Editorial to challenge this seeming complicity & contradiction. Over 2,000 died in Baga. They could have been alive if heavy weapons were available to the Nigerian army…Despite this irresponsibility by the US, the least discerning will come to this site & elsewhere to present the US as beacons of rectitude. It has no other name, it is called IGNORANCE.

What we need in Niger Delta is that the environmental terrorist oil companies should clean up the pollution, vacate our territory and not useless warships.

I don’t understand why people are blaming Tinubu for this forgery. Buhari is old enough to speak for himself. As the Buhari campaign team box themselves in through a ducking, diving and forging strategy,it has become obvious that they and their principal take Nigerians as a nation of “morons”. They have disrespected our collective intelligence as a civilised people of the 21st century.

The distinct dictatorial arrogance exhibited by Buhari and his bunch of hoodwinkers is a pointer to the sinister agenda this amorphous group of strange bed fellows have in stock for Nigerians. Buhari does consider himself above the law,if not it would not take such a long time to respond with this phoney piece of paper which he calls a statement of result !!

All you idiots saying rubbish here listen, and listen carefully.
When you request a statement of result from your school, especially WAEC, they don’t keep copies. What they do is print you a statement using the transcript of results which they keep. Don’t expect your school to provide you with a certificate similar to what WAEC provided you. They can’t coz they don’t keep copies. ONLY TRANSCRIPT which they use as guide to print a statement on your school result sheet, just like the report card they will provide at the end of the term examination but just with a different name.
Try it, go to your school and ask for a WAEC statement, see how it comes

They have realizes that Jonathan Is on a verge of total defeat whereas PDP is on a brink of total collapse that is why they are confused all the way and getting out of their senses every die minute.

    • January August

Why is President Jonathan so desperate to remain in power? I can understand Fani-Kayode’s passion for twisting the truth, because Jonathan has promised him to thwart the case hanging on his neck, which Festus Keyamo has exposed. The truth is that Buhari was educated up to Secondary certificate level as required by the Constitution, and the Honorable Justice Umaru Abdullahi and Mr Coomassie (former IGP) have confirmed that. Why are some Nigerians still falling for PDP desperation and lies. It was this style of lying by PDP against Dr. Kayode Fayemi that made Ekiti to mistakenly vote for Ayo Fayose, who is so full of himself as to tender a sincere apology to Buhari and the families of the 2 former heads of state and the great president of Nigeria, Umaru Yar’dua, he insulted with his evil advertorial announcing the imminent death of Buhari, forgetting that life and death is in God’s hand, and that he MAY even die before Buhari. Why has Fani-Kayode not responded to the credible testimonies of the two classmates of Buhari? Why can’t PDP approach the court of law to nail Buhari once and for all, if they are sure of their allegation? Few days ago, Fani-Kayode said PDP would hand over Buhari to God if he refused to hand over himself to the police for immediate interrogation and subsequent prosecution in court for PERJURY. Now it is FORGERY again! Therefore, at least 2 count charges to nail Buhari are already on ground then! How come that Fani-Kayode and PDP have suddenly become believers in God’s justice when they have been making use of Nigeria’s courts of justice to resolve controversies in the past? IT’S SIMPLY BECAUSE HE AND PDP KNOW THEY ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR WAYS TO PULL BUHARI DOWN. NIGERIANS, PDP IS DESPERATE TO RETAIN POWER! SINCE PDP HAVE FAILED US, LET’S TRY APC THIS TIME AROUND AND SEE WHAT THEY HAVE TO OFFER. 4 YEARS ARE ENOUGH FOR THEM TO SHOW WHETHER OR NOT THEY ARE THE CHANGE NIGERIANS REALLY NEED, OR THAT WE SHOULD SEARCH FOR ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE AFTER THEIR 4 YEARS IN ASO ROCK. HOWEVER, MY ONLY ADVICE, OR ONE OF MY PIECES OF ADVICE TO BUHARI, IS THIS: WHEN YOU GET TO ASO ROCK, TAKE ONE STEP FORWARD BUT TWO BACKWARDS IN YOUR DEALINGS WITH CHIEF OBASANJO!!!

      • Okey

This matter is too simple. Let Buhary to Cambridge University, “My people are doubting me, please send me a CTC of my Result and CERTIFICATE for the world to see.

        This is important because:
        (1) at his time, Buhari made the offence of cheating in WAEC and all forms of examination malpractice to attract LIFE IMPRISONMENT to any Nigeria kid that was caught.
        (2) he is coming back now to correct the corruption and all Nigerian ills caused by Jonathan.

Therefore, he MUST prove himself clean by getting Cambridge to talk to us.

May be the your Dad is a victim of PDP’s government height of unemployment therefore it is more wiser if you rake the advert home let’s them employ him or if you can wait for Feb,14 after then GMB will take care of him at rehabilitation centers for the rotten ones like him.

      • Bala Datti

You just open your mouth in ignorance, people apply into the Army while still in Secondary School back in the 60’s. This certificate thing rubbishes the Nigerian Army, it gives that perception that some of our officers enlisted into the Army without proper qualification. As it is, the argument is that northern officers were drafted into the military without qualifications. I want to ask the proponents of this theory, how could that happen? Whe had secondary schools in the North who produced bright young men as early as the 1930’s, this is evidenced in the likes of Tafawa Balewa, Ahmadu Bello, Kashim Ibrahim etc. So on what premise will unqualified people be accepted in the Army. Again the Army recruitment processwas superintended by the English at that time, in addition 80% of the army officer corps was constituted by Sourtherners. So this thing is just a campaign of calumny by the PDP to distract us from the real picture, incompetence.

        • Hah!

… thank you. let them continue to rubbish themselves. I have already know 6 people who have decided to vote APC because Femi Kayode’s empty threats.

  • Dumbo

It is clear pdp has nothing to offer and trying to divert Nigerians from their mass looting, corruption and insecurity. Kindly ignore them. They have a choice of verifying from Cambridge or going to court. FFK is also on cheap drugs and needs to provide his mental health certificate. NDLEA should also monitor FFK. For the mean time, GEJ should pls show us his PhD result and thesis.

Buhari all the way Feb,14,2015 no amount of sentiments and political blackmail by PDP, Jonathan and his people will deter Nigerians from yearning for change and GMB Is the symbol of change, true and proper Transformation not mago mago transformation.

  • Corinthian

The wind has been taken out of your sail, everyone can now see through your facade. Let the nation know what the PDP and Jona’s your intentions are if voted in again or is Buhari your manifesto? Even if Buhari presents tissue paper, it’s all good he’ll still be voted in…deal with it.

  • True Nigerian

So is that all the campaign message that Jonathan’s PDP has for a country that will vote in 3 weeks time? It’s pathetic! Femi’s egocentric brainlessness has cost the PDP three weeks which the party could have spent on advertising the few good achievements of Jonathan’s government. What a shame!

Any sensible and strategic thinker would have known that Buhari’s fans and supporters are so diehard and so convinced of his integrity to an extent that they would still vote and campaign for him even if he has no certificates, let alone when he actually has a certificate that meets the equivalent of a Master’s Degree from a US College.

No ruling party that is confident of winning would want the election postponed 3 weeks before it holds.

  • julius oke

PDP and Jonathief are terribly scared of the tsunami of change that will wash them away in the couple of days.

        • Onike24

The Australian crook as you put it was employed by Jonathan, wasn’t he? Jonathan is a class act, and I do not mean it in a complimentary way! How can you employ someone who is a known drug addict as your spokes person?

  • Taye

But why are the newspapers giving attention to this clearly deranged guy. I think PDP should be asking him to do his job of positioning Jonathan instead of the unintelligent attacks. All what he is saying is no way promoting the image or agenda of PDP. What have we benefited from the so-called PhD of Jonathan.

    • Yusuf Ismaila

Taye don’t worry yourself. It is not FFK that is the problem but the PDP itself. Remember FFK was an APC man but without provocation/injustice from the party, he just decided to changed and joined PDP . From his utterances it is clear he is working for APC but using PDP budget. One obvious fact is this that the more FFK speaks the more he creates more sympathy to the APC. The more he criticizes Buhari the more he makes people to hate GEJ and love Buhari. PDP should have gotten this and stop the Man. Period.

  • Filip

Ha! Could he only, read he would have seen that his own false documents were a joke.

  • I Hate Sycophant Truly

This man had not told us he had gone to verify the authenticity of the result but rely on the feature on the papers. I think Fani is lazy to go extra miles to confirm and clear what he is not sure of or better still go to court to claim a forged document of Buhari or better still keep quiet or resign for incompetence to do a clean job and keep the sanity of PRO.

No reasonable person should take this corrupt Fani Kayode serious. The guy is standing trial for corruption, and has the effrontery to spue nonsense against a respectable retired General, and people are giving him attention. Proper thing for him to do is clear his name with EFCC. APC and GMB should not waste their time on this corrupt parrot as he does not deserve any public attention till Nigerians are convinced that he did not steal Aviation fund to enrich himself. Paying attention to his verbal vomit will give ligitimacy to what he says despite its senselessness.

  • Gaskiya

Jonathan and PDP are terribly desperate to remain in power. They are inconsistent, deceitful, contradictory and off course very corrupt!

Look at Jonathan knelt down to greet Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido.
He can do the same to any Nigerian to get their support and then come back to stab them on the back. Wicked man.

    • Ameh

This is not a matter of desperation. As a matter of fact, I have been a strong supporter of General Buhari until the dubious supposedly Statement of Result was released. I don’t like Jona’s government at all. But what is so hard about this? Why can’t the general simply ask Cambridge to issue a copy of his school certificate? Cambridge is the second oldest university in the U.K, having been established in 1209, and they have records of all exam results since then. Why can’t he just do that and put the matter behind him. I have no doubt he attended secondary school, but he needs to do that as evidence that he will uphold the rule of law if elected. Nigerian electoral laws require that educational qualifications be documented, and one should expected candidates for the office of president to show the best example.

      • JustMe

He has provided a statement of result. THAT’S All!!! All aggrieved persons should urge PDP to go to Court. They would never do so since GEJ did not complete his thesis.

    THE BIG ISSUE:

Femi, I thought you were a discerning guy, one who could stab a finger in the Nigerian airspace and feel the pulse of the times. I was wrong, because, for want of power at all costs, you have chosen to become as blind as one of those at Wadata House. I’d let you into a little part of the secret. Buhari is the small white dot on a large black canvass. He is the catalyst to the gale of change that would soon sweep across the Nigerian landscape. Yet it is not really about Buhari, open your eyes wider. When it comes, there would be two chances on offer. The reactionaries in Nigeria SHOULD embrace Buhari, who could guarantee a safer, less painful landing for them or buckle up for the real thing – the bottled-up, consuming anger of the masses in their quest for true change. Meanwhile, keep your eyes fixated on the small black dot. Hehehe…

    • Isaac Boro

Your Buhari was in power for approximately 2yrs from 1983 – 1985. It is not possible to verify if you were dead or alive then. However, research has shown that there is no single physical infrastructure to point to in that span of time.

It is instructive to not that it was a period in which armed robbery was introduced into Nigeria. And for the first time in Nigeria’s history, free arms for violence, killings and abductions had become the order of the day and they all climaxed in IBB’s tenure.

The people of the Niger Delta also will not forget easily their pains…For then Bendel state, a city like Warri, contributing at the time, over 30% of Nigeria’s income from oil sales had no airport. Its airport had been a strip along Airporat road in Warri, which was part of the main vehicular passage way. Thus, we would be on the road for over 30min as road closed for small planes carrying useless expatriates to land. But we endured. Meanwhile, the Maiduguri Airport was built within that period & Maiduguri was of no practical economic importance to Nigeria. This was Nigeria led by your Buhari. We have nt 4gotten. Needless to mention his participation in the hanging of the Ogoni 9. There is no way Buhari will govern Nigeria in peace. NEVER!

Your mention of mass action is instructive much as one doubts your commitment to it based on antecedent pattern of behaviour. THe killing of MKO would have been a good platform. We all need mass action. This is what the Niger Delta people and the entire South & East of Nigeria have asked for in time past. They will gladly embrace it even before it begins. Happy revolution!

      • Lemmuel Odjay

Ur dates are faulty, sir. Go back again

      • Lemmuel Odjay

BE PATIENT AND READ THIS, BRO. ISAAC BORO:
U probably were in hibernation when history was being made at the time. For, all your above statements are laced with faults. Go read that part of history again, sir. Those faces who midwifed Nigeria’s socio-economic darkness, headed by Alhaji Shehu Shagari of the reactionary NPN party, have reappeared in your PDP, this time only older but less wiser. As is his custom, Obasanjo left them a huge chest with which to tide the country through the teething stages. They blew ALL that money within three years in addition to revenues received, and then OWED much more in spurious debts. They and their allies abroad were importing hundreds of 40-footer containers of sawdust weekly, tagged as “machinery”, and our commonwealth was being used to pay for them. Some of today’s global banking institutions were small players at the time. They made it and became the giant bankers they are today off Nigeria’s back from those shady deals. The only thing that has changed has been the name NPN. It has taken on a new name, PDP. True to type, they have led us again into an even worse socio-economic abyss, As I type this, the Naira is being pawned for TWO HUNDRED AND SIX NAIRA (N206) to the DOLLAR (US$1). It is just the start of things. Buhari and the late Idiagbon, the washermen, spent those very few months in office fighting the all powerful IMF and the unyielding Paris Club of Creditors, to whom these same faces in the PDP today had mortgaged our future. They were required to come up with genuine transaction documents against their claims. Debts were being rescheduled and ways sought for alternative sources of income for the ailing economy. The debts are piling again. They never learn. Once more, we have been led to another economic precipice by you know whom. Once again it is the common man who’d be presented as collaterals for those debts. Strip off the cosmetics they are putting on at the moment. When the cost of fuel hits N290 per litre and you are forced to cough up triple the amount of fare you paid just the previous day for the same journey, yours truly would have “helped” offset a little part of that debt. Are you surprised that the washerman has appeared on the scene again? But this time, Nigerians are going to exert their long awaited pound of flesh from these guys, if only to send across a lasting message that our commonwealth must NEVER AGAIN be pillaged for a bacchanalian fling by a few, at the expense of the many. This is the reason behind their panic; they are scared stiff and have resorted to borrowing voices as yours to trumpet their position. I could mention 10 names of very influential NPN board members now at the helms in the PDP. Some of these were founding members of your party. You probably did not do a rethink before plunging head first into their shark-infested water. One of their tactics is to first starve you (they call it “conditioning”), then wave your money in your face as bait to make you go down on your knees before them. “Only fine boys sing.” When the hens come home to roost, and the corn rains cease falling on your roof, then perhaps, you’d be able to see clearly to find your way before darkness falls. Hopefully…

Buhari is proving once again that he doesn’t mind stepping on democratic and consitutional principles in his demagogic quest for power. When will Nigeria wake up from its slumber and realise this man is a crook? Will take another coup against a civilian government like what happened when Buhari ousted Alhaji Shehu Shagari? Will it take forged credentials and a campaign of slander? Will it take post-electoral violence? Would he associate with Boko Haram once he loses?

Additionally, at this juncture while it matters in the eye of the constitution that Buhari must have a school certificate to be eligible as a candidate, it doesn’t matter to me. This man has proven time and time again to be an enemy of Nigeria. His only goal is to try and clinch to power as long as he can and by any means possible. I don’t think people could rally around such an untrustworthy figure.

    • ICC Hague

Between somebody who supported corruption and someone who fight corruption and still want to fight it, who is the enemy of Nigeria?

      • Akinfenwa Mikel

It doesn’t matter to me either, those laws are outdated and all Nigeria needs is a leader, not someone with all the right certificates worked out. But I agree with Emmanuel, Buhari has never shown anything like real concern for Nigeria, just thirst for power. He will say anything to get elected, including making promises about Boko Haram and the economy that he has no prayer to keep. And ye , Buhari fought corruption, but he also jailed Fela Kuti and was the most oppressive dictator Nigeria has seen. He was thrown out by his own military colleague. Jonathan should not allow corruption but it has happened for decades in Nigeria, INCLUDING when Buhari was a dictator in 1984. Buhari is crazy if he thinks he can stop corruption in one term

  • Sunday Jimoh

It is obvious that Gen Buhari is not the saint his supporters are portraying him to be. It is not enough that he does not possess the minimum educational requirement to lead a nation like ours,he has gone ahead to compound his problem by allowing a forged result to be published as his all in a desperate bid to acquire power. Nigerians, don’t be deceived. President Jonathan is who we need.

Are u perpetually glued to ur generating set for power that cannot drive d machineries of production at competitive costs? Do u drink from fresh and potable pipe-borne water or borehole water that could have been contaminated by lead, etc.? Have we a mind-boggling corruption situation in the system where government looks the other way and allows it continue unabated? Let us save time because the list is lengthy. Well I understand your pain. I am also not rich. • Lemmuel Odjay

Now you are playing the accuser and the judge. Let the courts pass a judgment as to whether the certificate is authentic or forged. Meanwhile, let’s focus on the real issue: Change. PDP can reject whatever they want to reject. The thing is we the people have already accepted GMB as honest. We know who is telling the truth and we know who is lying. Can you believe that PDP is asking us to believe Fani Kayode over General Buhari. Quite ridiculous, I say. In any case let them continue to chase shadows while the GMB and his campaign group wax stronger. February 14, 2015 is the D-day. Please remember to pick up your PVC if you have not done so yet. Also, spread the word. Let your parents know, let your siblings know, and let your friends know that all we want is Change come February 14.

…and do not forget to collect d money they’r offering to u for ur vote. It is ur stolen money, after all. If d economic situation their misrule has put u in is bad, collect d money, go to d ballot box and kick ’em out by showing them a red card with ur ballot. Vote for your future prosperity; vote for that of your children and theirs. Vote to remove this shame from our faces. Vote for CHANGE…

Can we now move to the real issues? But wait for a while can any body give us an idea how we can access GEJ PhD thesis or even the title of his research, the name of his supervisor, publication in any Journal? Because google is not responding, we learnt that he is a postgraduate dropout claimed to have PhD but PDP in 2011 covered up since it is PDP affair. Can PDP Use the same energy chasing only certificate to rescue our Chibok girls or capture Shekau? Why GEJ being the best performing president want to shift the goal post at the middle of the game. No going back febuhary 14, GMB is our next president.

You do not need to be sentimental about these issues. We need proof and fact. A president forging certificate clearly show sign of corruption. But Buhari claim he will fight corruption which he is already guilty of.

Fani kayode Should do more 2 promote gej than making buhari more popular indirectly since he knows certificate issue is verifiable n can only be handled by court or inec.

You can’t give what you don’t have! Buhari never at anytime in his life had any WAEC certificate. The consequences of all this is that a horse may run quickly but it cannot escape its tail. Empty sacks will never stand upright. Liars often set their own traps. The man Buhari and APC is one thing only ‘DRACULA. Desperations is their motto, When a person who used to “use” people for their own gain finally succumbs to being used by his/her Creator instead, the world dramatically changes for the better, both for the person and for the world.

Who is Mohamed Buhari and what is his relationship with Muhamadu Buhari? When did Muhamadu Buhari realise that he is Mohammed Buhari and what has he done about it since 1961?This is pure fraud and it shows that the man who wants to take decisions affecting Nigerians is fraudulent, manipulative, cunning, and corrupt ?

Fani Kayode should stop being lazy & shouting on top of d roof at slightest chance. He should write 2 University of Cambridge & ridiculing himself b4 Nigerians. Nigerians said even if Buhari presented PHCN bill which Nigerians pay with out seeing d light de will vote for him. D point is dat Nigerians re jst tired of PDP govt for 16yrs yet no power, Corruption on d increase money missing any hw. Collected money frm graduates 4 employment in2 Immigration only 2 kill dem with nobody taking responsibility. We re jst tired. Let give chance to APC & wat de ve 4 us

    • Naija People

He did you a favour by bringing up strong points that must not be thrown away. The copy of the certificate is online. Look at what Fani Kayode said and try to disprove it. How will Buhari fight corruption if he is corrupt. Bring out fact and not sentiments. Vote wisely

    • Naija People

Buhari would have being more honourable if he said he have no certificate. We could still manage a president without certificate but cannot manage president forging certificate

  • Naija People

Can corrupt Buhari with forged certificate fight corruption. Vote wisely
