APC condemns attack on Jonathan’s convoy in Katsina

Lai Mohammed

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has strongly condemned the reported stoning of the campaign convoy of President Goodluck Jonathan in Katsina State on Tuesday, saying violence of any kind is totally unacceptable to the party.

In a statement issued in Lagos on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party said President Jonathan should be free to campaign anywhere in the country without hindrance.

It said even though the attack on the President’s convoy took place a day after the provocative death-wish-for-Buhari newspaper advertorial that was put out in the name of the President, nothing justifies the stoning of the President’s convoy anywhere in the country.

APC restated its commitment to a continuous enlightenment of its members and supporters to eschew violence before, during and after next month’s general elections, and urged other parties to follow suit.

”We consider election as a celebration of democracy, not a do-or-die affair. Whether or not one agrees with the campaign message of any party, engaging in violence negates the very essence of democracy and should be condemned by all,” the party said.

    Well said APC

  • Richard

Death – wish advert. in itself is a provocation . That is why the so – called leaders should be mindful of what they say or do because every action has a reaction.

    • Bio

      Correct,copied ‘nd Certain.

  • King Carlos

Fayose should be blamed for all this. Asari Dokubo and co. Amazingly, I’ve not heard Tompolo speak like Asari. Let’s hope he’s not the type that believes in ‘action speaks louder than words. ‘

    • Bio

Don Carlos then what’s yours?, talk, eat ‘n sleep.

      • Mohstone

You nko?? Smoke, drink, and commit incest.

I have come to the conclusion that jonathan is the right candidate for nigeria.Buhari will islamatize nigeria and is a tool that is being used by Tinubu.

    • Mohstone

You dont even know how to impersonate properly. Am sure you cheated very well and very hard to finish primary and sec school. You’re not and can never write or be like the real Wahala. So go and bury your face in shame. Olodo.

    • mike

Who tell you say you be wahala! Mumu.

  • Lemmuel Odjay

Do not destroy those vehicles. They are your property. Do not kill for political reasons. We are brothers and sisters. Love them even if you detest their ways and suffer from same. They are in urgent need of re-education. The one who wishes death upon you is desperately malnourished. Give him food (knowledge) to eat, and water (understanding) to drink. We are desperate for change. But we must not do things that would turn Nigeria into Libya or Egypt or Syria. Resist any attempt to drag religion or tribalism into this struggle. These are the dated tools our reactionaries have deployed against us since 1960. It is called “divide (along tribe and creed) to be able to rule.” Having done these, step aside and watch God do the rest for Nigeria.

Uncle Lai , tell your supporters instead of resulting to violence ,they have 2 potent weapons that can never physically injure their opponents (1 ) PVC ,(2) BROOM.
Waite patiently after they finish their campaign , sweep their feet off your land, get thousands of people to do it. It is very painful for them .
On February 14th , use your 2nd and most powerful weapon PVC ,vote PDP (poverty development party, or people deceiving people ) out and waite to make sure you vote is counted.
With this peaceful approach , victory is for APC .

We need a chnage right now, we can’t just continue this way. We are tired of the manners and preach of hatred of GEJ administration in order just to remain in power, we can’t continue like this, we wants a society that will be valued and respected. We wants people to live each other again irrespective of the colour, height, religion and ethnically. We don’t want verbal and physical fights but peace. We wants loves where Hausa can call Igbo his brother and yoruba can see Igala as thier mother.

  • Muktsa

I am of the opinion that the president handlers are to be

    • Es3

So, are you now saying that it was Yar’adua family that sent those broom wielding APC members to attack Jonathan campaign convoy???!

  • taiwo

Shameless Liar Mohammed always eager to score some cheap political point from every statement.Condemning their actions and at the same time subtly giving excuses and backing for their actions.Daft old man we are waiting for you to run after the elections when the baboons and dogs will be soaked in blood, the only difference is that you too will be amongst the baboons

    • PureNigerian

What is shameless for asking people to eschew violence?

    • Mohstone

Hey hey hey … please try and wear some pants. It seems like you dont know how naked you are by exposing your dumbness.

      • taiwo

this one that you are always thinking of pants and nakedness your cup will soon get full and the law will get hold of you for all the people you have raped and molested

  • Bio

Muktsa, what’s the need of one entity called Nigeria, if restriction should be compelled to some people to a particular place?. Often,we make things worst, why can’t we accept tolerance by seeing the actuals ‘nd avoid heating up already tensed situations on ground?. Jonathan has the right to go where ever ‘n when ever. Violence is no bodies estate.

Though I’m not holding brief for Fayose, I’m still tempted to ask Nigerians to express their opinion by stating which one is heavier a sin between “death wish” and attempted murder by stoning???!

  • Mohstone

Correct Talk my man Lai Muhammad. We dey kampe. GMB/Oshinbajo 2015 and beyond. Enemies can go and hug a hyena.

  • basil edoma

Lia mohammed has clearly shown how clueless a man he is. Is he really implying that they(apc) enlightens their followers against violence when the act has been performed? Just know that Apc can never usurp Goodluck from the seat of power just as Buhari took over power violently in 1983….
