Former minister, others, dump PDP, join APC as Buhari campaigns in Jos

A former Minister of State for Science and Technology, Pauline Tallen, was among chieftains of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] who crossed over to the All Progressives Congress [APC] on Saturday as the campaign train of the opposition party’s Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, canvassed votes in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Others who left the PDP for the APC with their supporters include a former Director General of the Industrial Training Fund [ITF], Sambo Wapmuk, and a former member of the House of Representatives, Leonard Dilkon.

Mrs. Tallen, also a former deputy governor of Plateau State, had initially left the PDP for the Labour Party [LP] on which platform she contested the 2011 governorship election. She lost to incumbent Governor Jonah Jang.

Mrs. Tallen only returned to the ruling party last November only to cross to the APC Saturday, saying the PDP had failed the Nigerian people.

Meanwhile, at his rally in Jos, Mr. Buhari said if given the opportunity to rule Nigeria as President, he would end insurgency and corruption in the country.
“APC is determined to break the vicious circle of insecurity, lack of jobs and corruption in this country,” he told the crowd at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium Jos. “What is happening in the North-East is totally unacceptable because most youth in Nigeria are unemployed and we will create job opportunities for the youths.”

Mr. Buhari lamented the falling standard in the education sector, saying, “Schools in Nigeria no longer turn out competent graduates, infrastructure is gone, salaries of teachers are no longer paid regularly and the best we can do for this generation is to put in the best in our educational system. When we give our youths best education, they can take care of themselves”.

The APC candidate said the President Goodluck Jonathan-led administration had failed to protect lives and property of Nigerians.

On the Nigerian economy, Mr. Buhari said he would turn around the agriculture and  mining sectors to provide employment for Nigerian youth.

The National Chairman of the APC, John Oyegun, presented the party’s flag to the state governorship candidate, Simon Lalong, who said the wave for change was now effectively on its way in Plateau state.

Plateau people should work hard to free themselves from Jang who has no truth in his life. The people should team up to ensure APC takes over the state. By so doing, Jang who has put the state under his family control will be put to shame.

    • Okey

Even if all the entire Plateau leave Jonathan today, they willt vote APC. Check their history, from 1979 till date. Tallen is desperately seeking for a government office to occupy.

      • Jika

Please read your post again sir.It doesn’t make much sense.

BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER
“Mrs. Tallen, also a former deputy governor of Plateau State, had initially left the PDP for the Labour Party [LP] on which platform she contested the 2011 governorship election. She lost to incumbent Governor Jonah Jang….”

“..Mrs. Tallen only returned to the ruling party last November only to cross to the APC Saturday, saying the PDP had failed the Nigerian people…”

It is clear to even a dunce that Ms Tallen is a jobless politician and a serial failure. She failed and lost to the incumbent Gov, then ran to Labour Party LP, there she failed again, and then back to PDP, but realizing that the PDP has zero tolerance for serial failures, she took the last option and final destination for all serial losers- The APC, where its presuidential candidate has lost 6 successive Presidential elections. Truly, birds of the same feather flock together.

The Biroms in collaboration with GEJ wants monopoly over other tribes in Planteau state. A Biroms man wants to succeed another Biroms man who has rule the state for eight years with full support of GEJ. This injustice must be resisted by the good people of Plateau state as failure to resist will amount to mortgaging the future of your unborn generations. Plateau state must be rescued from the Biroms for posterity sake.

The wind of CHANGE is furiously blowing and the broom is sweeping everywhere…

  • Ikechi Ngwube

As one northern PDP senator pointed out recently, PDP ticket is now like Zimbabwean dollar and PDP is becoming an empty house. Everyone wants out before the ship finally sinks on Febuhari 14. Nothing can stop an idea whose time has come. Nigeria is on the very doorsteps of change!

    • Okey

Except you are just returning from planet Mars, is there any election time in Nigeria aggrieved individuals do not decamp from one party to the other ? Did the woman tell you what offence Labour Party committed against her before she left them ? Try to look, at least, a little sensible.

      • mahmudu

Okey or whatever u call urself, we in the northeast will rather vote for an illiterate who will protect us than to vote for an emeritus professor of medicine who will comeback and continue to kill us.

        • Okey

Even though you suffer the overlord mentality, you are certainly not from Plateau State. And I won’t bait on what you would do in your own part of the North East, for the bizarre is not beyond you.

        • Phil

Please do not dignify the Okeys of this world with a response. He is the same f00l as Oleku – the igbo boy from Northern California.

    • Original_Raskal

I like your brain functions! Every PDP is joining APC and that is change! You are very intelligent as I can notice! Goodluck with your brain!

    STRANGE

It is so strange that Buhari who is unable to present his WASC certificate to Nigerians …. is lamenting the so called falling standard of education.

If people like Buhari without certificate can be Head of State and General in the Army contrary to constitutional stipulation … why should others go get education or bother about standard ?

    • Okey

My brother, you see that the type of “better Nigeria” they preach to us; a man who refused to uphold the least academic standard is decrying falling standard of education. Tomorrow we will hear that Jonathan caused him his School certificate.

    • lala

Did Buhari send his kids to school?

      • Phil

        Very petty….

    • Sumanguru Horop

INEC have said you should go to court and if you are still talking here 14 Feb will surprise you, I hope you have check you temperature ? Pls do that and don’t allow your ignorance go beyond this you may likely die of emotional pain if Buhari win on valentine day for me it is going to be double celebration,so don’t make yours a double tragedy

      • Ade

Rubbish. Paulin Tallen and her co travellers are frustrated. her entrance to APC is a bad omen to the party as she is always associated with failure.

  • favourtalk

That just confirm another failure to GEJ re-elwction bid, nigerians are tired of the backward movement of the train of GEJ, we need a change now to enable us keep this nation safe, see development and transform the country
