If someone insults my mother, I will punch them — Pope

Pope Francis

Pope Francis warned that he was ready to “punch” anyone who insulted his mother.

The pontiff said this on Thursday in remarks made en route to the Philippines from Sri Lanka, that“ there are limits to freedom of expression and my mother was the limit.

“We have a duty to speak openly, to have this freedom, but without offending others.

“It’s true that you cannot react with violence, but if my aide Doctor Gasbarri, who is a friend, badmouths my mother, a punch would be coming for him,” he added.

The Pope said in relation to recent events in Paris that violence in the name of religion can never be justified, but that there are “limits” to freedom of expression.

“Many people badmouth religion, mock it, play with other people’s religion.

“It can happen, but there are limits, every religion has dignity, every religion that respects life and human beings has a dignity, and you cannot mock it,” he added.

Pope warned that “You cannot provoke, insult, ridicule other people’s faith,”. (dpa/NAN)

Pope Francis… a divine man with integrity, very genuine and truthful…If the Pope is a Nigerian, the bigots among us would have called him Boko Haram supporter for what he said.

What if some aliens want to steal & control my resources?

Papee is right as always…but what he failed to add is that, “If someone from an alien nation wants to control or own my oil blocks licenses, that person deserves a most directional punch. “

you have no oil wells, stop deceiving your self, u are an ordinary slave who receive royalty for what u called my oil, it belongs to your colonial masters, that is why u have never known even the true amount they are lifting

  • amazing2012

Oil price has plunged to $41, hopely and we pray very hard for the oil to come down to $4, the money that cannot pay the cost of servicing its exploration. By that time, you will know that is not your effort to be born in a worst place of human habitation (creek). Your proud and arrogance made oil to be a curse product and useless, just as the people who claim it. Tell us what role or effort did you offer to have or provide oil ? To those you humiliated, because they are not born in areas of the cursed products, please answer this question: can humanbeing choose where he/she should be born ? Obviously, the answer is No then unknown to you, you are fighting God who in his wisdom decide on who and where humans will be. You are a disgrace to civilization !

      Keep dreaming.
Happy you know by that statement that you are a leech if you are not from the ‘Creek’ .

This man is the true replica of a man of God, saying the truth at all cost; The terrorist that kill people unjustly is certainly worst than a blasphemous catoonist and has no justification to kill other than having an evil heart, but truly, freedom has a limit. South Korea threatened war few days ago just because a film that mimic their boy-president was released in America, a Turkish teenager was jailed last month for insulting the president on social media, even in america u cant insult even a common man bcus u have freedom talkless of insulting the queen in england. Hate has no place with civility likewise jungle justice

Pope Francis, God Bless you, your Annointed and Divine Ministry. God Bless you as you serve the poor among us. May God give you the strength you need to continue to be the universal religious and moral conscience and voice of the world. May God give you the strength you need to continue to be the blessed and divine voice of peace, love and unity in our fractured human world. May God give you the strength to continue to be the voice of the voiceless, the emotionally, socially and economically lonely, the poor, the disabled as Commanded by Our Lord Jesus Christ. We will always put you and your ministry in our prayers. God Bless you and your ministry eternally.

“If my good friend Dr. Gasparri speaks badly of my mother, he can expect to get punched,” says the Pope.
So how soon can we expect a Charlie Hebdo cartoon showing the Pope throwing a right hook at Dr. Gasparri for insulting his mother?
