APC dismisses SSS’ allegations as “hogwash”

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has dismissed as hogwash the so-called findings of the State Security Service, SSS, following its Gestapo-like raid on the party’s offices in Lagos, saying the ‘findings’ presented to the media by the agency on Wednesday is a great disservice to Nigeria and an embarrassment to all intelligence-gathering organizations around the world.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party also described the timing of the release of the “findings” as a plot orchestrated in collusion with the PDP to distract the APC from its ongoing campaigns for next month’s elections.

It described as disingenuous, flimsy, premeditated, partisan and an irritant the conclusion that the APC had an ”articulated plan to inflate the party’s membership data as well as hack into INEC’s voter registration database through the creation of party membership forms and cards to match INEC’s voters register across the country”.

”First the DSS and the PDP said the APC was cloning Permanent Voters Cards at the raided office, without a shred of evidence. Now, after a ‘painstaking’ investigation, the DSS has found out that the APC was only planning to inflate its membership data and then hack into INEC’s database. And this is the outcome of its massive, months-long investigations?

”This would have been funny if it were not from a primary domestic intelligence agency saddled with a great responsibility. Can this wishy-washy report stand any serious scrutiny? Can any serious intelligence gathering agency anywhere else in the world take this report seriously? With these kind of findings, one can now understand why Boko Haram has continued to strike at times and places of its own choosing without any prior knowledge by our all-powerful DSS.

”Even the presentation of the report by a poorly-trained and highly-politicized spokesperson of the DSS worsened the so-called findings. Why would the spokesperson of a national agency sound like a megaphone for the ruling party, freely castigating the opposition spokesman and ”a number of uninformed members of the public”? Why does she have to go personal in presenting a report that supposedly is in the national interest?

”We have always warned that our democracy is in clear and present danger, not just from desperate politicians, but also from institutions of state that have compromised in their roles and resorted to crass lawlessness. The DSS’ ‘findings’ today have given us another reason to repeat this warning.

”While we are willing to meet the DSS in court, we can confidently say that the ‘confessions’ extracted from the arrested persons, after they were subjected to incredible acts of torture, cannot even stand in any court of law,” APC said.
The party recalled that in its statement of Dec. 5th 2014, it accused the SSS of resorting to the use of torture to obtain forced confessions from those who were arrested during the first raid on the party’s Data Centre in Ikeja.

”In that statement, we called the action of the DSS a contravention of the UN Convention against Torture to which Nigeria is a signatory and a violation of the citizens’ fundamental human rights.

”We also said the DSS shackled the hands and legs of those arrested and blindfolded them while they were being taken to Abuja. The arrested persons remained in chains even at the dark detention cell where they were made to sleep on the bare floor for the 10 days they were detained illegally.

”Guns were pointed at their heads by DSS personnel who threatened to shoot them, while a pregnant woman among those who were arrested was denied access to her drugs even when she started bleeding due to the torture to which she was subjected by the DSS. Now the DSS has confirmed what we said in that press statement. Is anyone still surprised at the action of countries that are distancing themselves from Nigeria over human rights violations?” it queried.

APC said the impending release of the ‘great findings’ by the DSS after its world class investigations must have been the reason why the agency recently threatened it would arrest any politician who makes inciting comments, adding: ”Apparently the DSS needed to silence all so that no one will dare criticize its earth-shaking ‘findings’.”

Nigerian are bent on CHANGE noting will hinder it, not this cheap blackmail. APC is taking over, PROGRESSIVE CHANGE is spreading.

      Breaking News:

      MUHAMMADU BUHARI EXPOSED AS FRAUDULENT

Vanguard newspapers report that third-party investigations now reveal the following facts:

      • That, Muhammadu Buhari, by his own past admission in writing, spent less than four [4] years
in primary school and did not obtain a completion certificate.

      • That, Muhammadu Buhari has no proved attendance of any secondary school,
      perhaps in consequence.

      •That in 1963 Muhammadu Buhari attended a 2-month basic rifle-training course at
Cadet School in Aldershot, United Kingdom, which is NOT equivalent to School cert.

      • That the United States of America’s War College has confirmed in writing that
it ‘..searched its records from 1980 to 1990 and there is no ‘Masters student’
name like Muhammadu Buhari (in any combination)’ – contrary to earlier claims made.

      • That these four key facts were established by the investigative initiative of a group known as
South-West Democracy Circle – with offices located at 5, Njamenna Crescent, Wuse 2, Abuja.

      • salako

A Clown is better than an animal like you.

  • tundemash

I take solace in the fact that ugly Ogar will share same cell ward with HipoPatience post 2015 election.
We can’t be distracted; On FeBuhari we stand !!!

  • Jimi Savage

    Shut up, Lai Mohammed,

You never made sense except perhaps to your fellow Islamists who are at your own raw level.
SSS did the right thing to intercept criminal exhibits in APC party’s possession pre-emptively,
and went further to charge APC workers arrested at the crime scene to court in consequence.

    • Kensty

Agreed sss are doing their work, the reason people always disagree with the sss is that they’ve never arrested any PDP member before, is it that PDP dont brake the law?? You and I know that is impossible. They are truly patisan.

    • pheliciti

I agree, he cannot make sense to your ilk as you are beneath the pale of human intelligence. Remember, only the deep can call to the deep!

      • Shobajo Macaulay

        @pheliciti:

Hehehehehe!!! APC Islamists even quote Holy Bible, wonders will not end.
The only thing deep in APC is ignorance. Too many Islamist dullards there.
APC is a criminal organization – full of Alhajis – signifying nothing

        • Salako

Then describe yourself, even yourself animal.

        • pheliciti

To imagine that the people that spent money on your upbringing once nursed high hopes for you….. SMH

  • Naijawehail

I wonder how it is possible for the DSS to consistently shoot it self in the foot. Videos on hacking is the mighty long awaited evidence. Definitely Jonathan should realise that the curse of Nigerians is on him and all these clowns surrounding him, as they (without knowing it) keep on campaigning for APC whenever they open their mouth. I am sure the CIA,FBI and other top class security agencies will forever give lectures in their training schools on how NOT to get intelligence and DSS will be the case study. Incompetent clowns.

  • _Proudly Niger Deltan

This Joseph Goebbels of Nigeria shud lern to shut his mouth…Why has he not produced Bokohari’s certificate? DSS should take the finger prints of Bokohari, The Gbana major etc and do a forensic analysis to match those on the cards so that they will be put to shame forever. Desperately unproductive, and oiless people.

    Where is Buhari’s certificate?

  • Ajayi Ifayemi

What a stretch. Ridiculous stretch too! The irony is that they (the DSS) are not even good at what they are trying to do. Some people with intelligence and all the time they had since they seized these stuffs would have come out with something better than this crap. Did someone say the sun had set in the South East for PDP? Even with the whole security apparatus on their side, I say the sun has set for PDP all over Nigeria.

  • Mrs. Dunni Anise

Me i can’t waste my time reading this. Lai Mohammed is too local; no polish, no finesse.
He needs good schooling with strong ethics to eke out his probably lax home training.
So far i don’t see him as a morally-directed or fully evolved human being on APC matters.

    • kammykazee

Adunni olorisa, Lai too local? I bet you never hear Dumbo speaks or Patty Faka, go listen to your spiritual Lords from Otuoke and Okrika and then come tell me who is local. #jáwéjura.

  • MrFesh+Ifebuche+Paschal

I wonder how we have degenerated to such insanity. A political party is registering underage people and people without an identity plus security personel and we swear it is nothing. And this is a party that touts change. Change to what? Ridiculous. History will tell this story.

    • engr

change jonathan, GMB ALL DA WAY

      • MrFesh+Ifebuche+Paschal

Yea sure. So he can fight kworuption.

          • kammykazee

Nah, he is irredeemable, a lost cause. You can’t change people like this.

          • MrFesh+Ifebuche+Paschal

            Speak for yourself.

    • Ms. Vivian

Nigerians have lost all sense of outrage after renouncing all sense of ethics.
The result is that Nigeria’s educated citizens are no better than street urchins.

      • Ogom

Trolls now talking to themselves 🙂

  • engr

Doyin okupe should better watch his seat ooo, its lyk ms Ogar is interested

    • Shobajo

The only thing deep in APC is ignorance. Too many Islamist dullards there.
APC is altogether a criminal organization – full of Alhajis – signifying nothing.

      • Beenedict A.

Okay, let’s say Lai Mohammed is local, agreed, is he as local as Raji Fashola?

        • Ogom

Someone called “Beenedict” is calling someone else local.. Wonders!

          • Aghariodome

That no be Oyinbo name – Benedict? You say Oyinbo is local too? Na wa O!

          • Ogom

Only a local person assumes oyinbo can’t be local

          • Mosaku 147

He can’t even spell his own name.

      • Jude

I sometimes wondered if Alhaji LAI MOHAMMED went to school at all.
I stopped wondering once i read here that Muhammdu Buhari did not.

      • Salako

        PDP is full of what?

  • Dr. J. Balogun

    Editor Premiun Times,

Nigeria will remain a hopeless basket case filled with primates solely bent on stealing if
all the years of studying of the country’s professors, doctors, lawyers, journalists, nurses,
architects, engineers, teachers, lecturers, marketers, and others, convince them all that
perjury and forgery are the highest ideals to embrace and pass onto their children.

    • Bulls

      Lai Mohammed,

Please remove your head from the sands for a moment, please.
Now, look at the real issue facing the country and concerning you.
The question at issue is straightforward. What are your thoughts?
See the one-sentence and very simple question below, viz:

    • Bosun Cole

“Nigeria is no longer a country. It is not a country where people
can live to survive. Nigeria is a place ruled by criminals and thieves,
as well as by those who believe in plundering and looting.”

      …….. Mbazulike Amaechi

      (Nigeria’s first Minister of Aviation)

      [September 14th, 2014]

  • Ogom

“.. poorly-trained and highly-politicized spokesperson of the DSS”

    Ouch!

    • The Revolutionary

Nigeria’s revolutionaries should take note. There’s now a growing list of criminals in Nigeria.
Those cretins in public office tucking their spouts in the public trough are surely well-known,
but less well-known are the insidious abettors of thefts in journalism today who abet forgery,
and not only defend it but in fact enable all manner of crimes to flourish after money bribes.

These morally dissolute journalists of dubious origins should be listed for revolutionary justice.
They may need to be be laid to rest in perfect peace on revolutionary day – like vermin.

      • Ogom

I think he meant Marilyn Ogar

        • Dele Omowale

          @ Ogom:

No, no. See it this way. Except for Premium Times tell me any other media outlet
asking this constitutional question on Buhari with civic responsibility? None of them!
That is not journalism but partisan pamphleteering. It’s absolute disgrace to journalism.

  • Onike24

It’s no wonder we cannot defeat BH, our state intelligence is quite clearly incompetent. This is getting really dangerous, how desperate are these people?

  • Ette

This is worse than kindergarten intelligence organization. No wonder courts is dismissing their spurious cases for lack of evidence. This woman is just displaying gross ignorance and presenting the DSS as grossly incompetent organization. Reason why book haram and other crimes are having upper hands. Shame.

  • mosco

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ga ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Repairs is taken place at kiri kiri prison. Kayode you can say anything now ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

  • Thepeople

Can these clown tell us the sterling qualities and the achievements of the President who has been in office for 4 years, not Buhari is these and that, did this or that. Can anybody sell this President to the people of Nigeria in any form or shape?

  • Barau

Kayode there is no danger worse than the danger your party and boko haram gave to Nigerian, so Buhari’s danger is welcome. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • Dankasa

But Buhari ruled and no one was killed, I think the greatest danger on earth Femi is killing innocent soul and destruction of economic structures that have been taken place in this country during Jonah time. My friend, you didn’t commit any genocite but may likely follow your Oga Jonah to Hegue Femi. Better join a moving train instead of all these hullabaloo and parrotfaction. Can’t you see some PDPig Governors were tactically and wisely denying their boarding pass not to join a sincking ship. PDPig is now smoking jet engine about to crash may be on 14the February.

  • segun

Femi Fanikayode, Start the campaign by telling us how you bought your freedom from prosecution by EFFC . Tell us the deal you struck with your candidate -Mr. Goodluck Jonathan-the most corrupt President ever in the history of Nigeria. Tell us the shady deals in your past, what you were doing in Ghana before you were brought home to Ngeria. Tell us about your money laundering case and how you negotiated your freedom from prosecution.
You are a common criminal who cannot win a simple election on your street in Ile Ife. You are disgrace to the Yoruba race and nation. And we will take the battle to your street right on your face in Ile Ife where PDPig will lose hopelessly.

  • Mosaku 147

Just look at her wowo face.i wonder if man fit toast this kind woman. Ugly muchaco!
